    Good day!

Thanks to the storm off the west coast, we’ve been receiving at least a couple of strong rains each day.

That’s quite a switch from virtually no moisture for two months.

No more fire danger. No more smoke.

The weather this year is quite an adventure.

    Be everwell.

    Good day!

As faint trails go, Milltower Ridge was faint, at times completely disappearing, but then there was nowhere else to go.

The ridge itself dictated my direction.

All I had to do was make sure I found the trail when it exited the ridge.

    Be everwell.

    Good day!

I only saw a couple of people on my morning jaunt. Probably because it was cold, and somehow felt colder, likely due to elevated humidity since it’s cloudy and rainy.

I almost needed gloves, but not quite. That seems wrong in summer, anyway.

    Good day!

In the valley, we have the traditional autumn colors. In the pine forest mountains, those colors appear in the various plants.

But there’s also another color that’s common, a greenish-gray bordering on a slate blue. It’s even found in some of the shale.

  23. Bantayan Island Escape: A 4-Day, 3-Night Travel Guide

There’s something special about taking a break from the busy pace of everyday life. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with white sand beaches, clear blue waters, and a relaxing atmosphere, Bantayan Island is the perfect destination.

This 4-day, 3-night trip was a wonderful experience filled with beautiful views, delicious food, and much-needed rest. In this blog, I’ll share our itinerary, travel expenses, accommodation, and some helpful tips that might make your own Bantayan adventure easier and more enjoyable.

I hope this guide inspires you to visit this beautiful island and create wonderful memories of your own.

    📍 Accommodation

Anika Beach Resort (Booked via Booking.com)

One of the things we appreciated was their free shuttle service from Santa Fe Port to the resort. On the day of our check-in, the resort contacted us through text message to coordinate our arrival, making the transfer smooth and hassle-free.

The resort is peaceful and perfect for anyone looking to relax. Since it is beachfront, you can enjoy the beautiful white sand and the calming sound of the waves just a few steps from your room.

Day 1 – Journey to Paradise

Our trip to Bantayan Island started early in the morning from Cebu North Bus Terminal.

🚍 Step 1: Bus Ride to Hagnaya Port

We took a Ceres Bus from Cebu North Bus Terminal to Hagnaya Port, which is the main port for travelers going to Bantayan Island.

    • Regular Bus Fare: ₱260.00 per person
    • Route: Cebu North Bus Terminal → Hagnaya Port

The bus ride takes approximately 3½ to 4½ hours, depending on traffic and the number of stops.

⛴️ Step 2: Ferry to Bantayan Island

Upon arriving at Hagnaya Port, we purchased our ferry tickets bound for Santa Fe Port, Bantayan Island.

    • Regular Ferry Fare: ₱390.00 per person (includes the terminal fee and environmental fee, if applicable)
    • Route: Hagnaya Port → Santa Fe Port, Bantayan Island

The ferry ride takes about 1 to 1½ hours, depending on the vessel and sea conditions.

We reached the resort before the official check-in time of 3:00 PM. Since our room was not yet ready, we spent some time in their cozy waiting area. 😍 It turned out to be one of the little things we appreciated the most. The space was comfortable, peaceful, and beautifully designed, making us feel relaxed from the moment we arrived. Instead of waiting impatiently, we were already enjoying the calm island atmosphere.

🍽️ Late Lunch at MJ Square

At around 3:00 PM, we headed to MJ Square for our first meal on the island.

MJ Square is a popular food street in Santa Fe with a variety of restaurants offering everything from fresh seafood and Filipino dishes to pizzas, burgers, and desserts. The best part is that the prices are very reasonable, making it a great place to enjoy a delicious meal without spending too much. 😉

It was the perfect way to end our first afternoon in Bantayan Island and start our island adventure. 🌴

Day 2 – Slowing Down in Paradise

It was all about slowing down and simply soaking in the beauty of Anika. Since it was my beloved’s birthday, we spent the day relaxing by the beach, taking a refreshing dip in the pool, and embracing the peaceful island atmosphere. We captured the beauty of the calm sea and the breathtaking sunrise, creating a timelapse that preserved one of the most peaceful moments of our trip. 🥰

To make the most of our stay, we rented a motorcycle from JEK Motorbike Rental for only ₱300 for 24 hours (rates vary depending on the type of motorcycle you choose).

Day 3 – Chasing Hidden Gems Around Bantayan Island

We started our day with breakfast at Ayo Cafe, and it did not disappoint! What we loved most was that the food was healthy, delicious, and affordable. The serving sizes were satisfying, making every peso worth it. If you’re visiting Bantayan Island, we highly recommend giving this café a try!

    📍 Baigad Lagoon

    • Entrance Fee: ₱250 per person
    • Boat Ride: ₱300 round trip (to and from the lagoon reception)
    • Kayak Rental: ₱150

Baigad Lagoon is a beautiful and peaceful destination surrounded by nature. Its crystal-clear waters make it an ideal spot to relax, unwind, and capture stunning photos.

Personally, we found the visit a bit pricey since the entrance fee, boat ride, and kayaking are all charged separately. After learning the total cost, we decided not to continue with the tour.😬

Even so, the journey itself became an adventure. We traveled there by motorcycle, and finding the lagoon wasn’t easy because there were very few signs or clear directions along the way. We had to stop several times to ask the locals for guidance, but after a few wrong turns and a lot of excitement, 😁we finally made it. Sometimes, the adventure isn’t just the destination—it’s the journey that leads you there.😎

    📍 The Ruins

Our next stop was The Ruins, which is conveniently located along the road, so there’s no entrance fee. It’s fascinating to see the remains of an old building, but what impressed us even more was the breathtaking view from the cliff overlooking the sea. It’s a great place to stop, take a few photos, and enjoy the scenery. ☺️

    📍 Obo-ob Mangrove Garden

    • Entrance Fee: ₱75 per person (Regular)

This was one of our favorite places! Walking along the long bamboo boardwalk while surrounded by a vast mangrove forest was such a relaxing experience. The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful scenery made it well worth the visit. If you love nature, don’t skip this spot!😍

After a full day of exploring, we kept dinner simple and enjoyed some delicious barbecue for ₱250 for two people. It was affordable, filling, and the perfect way to end the day. After dinner, we headed back to Anika to rest and recharge for another adventure.

As our Bantayan adventure came to an end, our hearts were filled with gratitude. Every sunrise, every peaceful shoreline, and every unexpected turn reminded us of God’s goodness and the beauty of His creation. Life truly is a gift—so cherish every journey, trust His plans, and keep discovering the wonders He has prepared for you. See you on our next adventure! 🌊✨

    https://perfettamentechic.com/2025/04/27/🐾world-tapir-day🐾/

Proteggerli significa proteggere interi habitat.
