The Point Reyes peninsula (north and west of San Francisco) is gorgeous! Here's a photo from a very, very windy evening at Drake's Beach. View it larger and you'll see the sand being swept across the beach by the wind!
For #MeerMittwoch #SeaWednesday and #WaybackWednesday 😅 since this is from May 2013... sheesh that was 13 years ago... 😳

#ThrowbackThursday to May 2016, when I had the opportunity to use a friend's infrared-converted camera (and had fun with it😁).
The invisible IR light is "shifted" into our human range through white balance, so anything goes with regards to color — there's no one "right" way for it to look...
Therefore, it's common to use black and white, or to swap the red & blue channels, in order to get a blue sky (what I did here).

Looking back at April 2016 for #ThrowbackThursday when we had spent a night in Solvang and I was out early to make photos along a road that looked promising. Everything was fenced though! Where the road passed through a lovely forested area, I found this "Waking Dream" of lace-lichen covered oaks, in the canyon of Alisal Creek.

"Two Oaks, Mesa Grande" for #FoggyFriday
Photographed on the same day as the previous photo that I shared yesterday — except that Mesa Grande is at a higher elevation, and was in the clouds! Quite a (photographic) treat... :)
