  4. One of the main drivers of improvement in my #naturephotography has been patience. Especially in 2018, I was all about go-go-go, eschewing the tripod for handheld and "spray and pray." Learning to slow down and take a more contemplative approach really provided a huge leap forward in the quality of my work.

Each of these #landscapephotos from #brycecanyon represents that philosophy, waiting for the light to hit the landscape just so.

  14. This was one of my favorite spots in Bryce Canyon National Park - Fairyland Canyon - the start or end of a 8.4 mile loop hike (6 through the canyon and two from Sunrise to Fairly trailheads. The hike was beautiful with elevation gains of around 1900 feet (ups and downs with he ups being more prevalent when heading out of the canyon. I took the non-preferred clockwise route. The elevation at the Fairyland Point starts at 7,770. fineartamerica.com/featured/st #fairylandcanyon #brycecanyon #hike #hoodoos

  19. "Snow, graced by an arch of fire". My wintry photograph from Bryce Canyon, bringing off that rare vibe of white snow on red rock that's oh-so-delightful this time of year.
