IT WORKS. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.

I have the latest mbrt + sysapps git revisions running on a Raspberry Pi 5 with postmarketOS installed.

Originally, I installed it on my ODROID C4, but then I realized that:

- The ODROID C4 postmarketOS port does not have working HDMI audio yet
- For some reason mbrt doesn't actually render anything when using it???

We are literally so close to milestone 1.

The only things left to implement are:

- Finishing up the Video Demo app and then adding 2 more demo apps
- Getting the packages for pmaports ready
- Flashing postmarketOS with the Mediaberry UI package to a few SBCs
- Installing distrobox (or just a rootless chroot tool) on those SBCs so I can run CEF (and thus mbrt) via a container (CEF doesn't run on musl yet sadly)

A year ago today, @justsoup and I created the lowendlibre project with the goal of lowering the bar for getting started with mobile linux, more specifically postmarketOS.

While it didn't quite go as we had initially hoped, it has been a net positive.

I am now proud to announce that I have successfully built #CyanogenMod (the well-known #AOSP fork) on Debian 12. It took a small amount of patching to get working but it wasn't actually that bad.

Next up: Forking CM11, changing the branding (to #KittyKat), and making some changes.

You can actually use your own custom IRC server too! This is actually the only way to do it as of writing this since there is no librekit IRC server yet. I personally use #inspircd as the server software when testing the librekit chat client.

I just installed @LineageOS on my Google Pixel Tablet (tangorpro), and so far it seems to work the best on it.
