I saw you mention the possibility of using #postmarketOS to simulate USB mass storage devices, since it doesn't have Android's restrictions on what you can do with the USB interface: but the pmOS wiki doesn't seem to have any finished applications for doing this (just an overview of the "USB Gadget" function).
Would be a good usecase for all those phones where USB works, but the other components don't have proper support yet.
(i'd also ask how the transfer speeds compare to a good USB3 SSD, but frankly I'd be grateful to never have to juggle USB drives or use chainloader nonsense like Ventoy) -
I recently bought a #oneplus6 and successfully installed #postmarketos on it. However, the phone died a few hours later (black screen, responding only to EDL commands), and I couldn't reset it, even with MSM Download Tool. I managed to flash Android back but it won't restart. Do you think it's an error related to my installation or just bad luck ? I really want to try #mobilelinux, so should I buy another OnePlus 6 or 6T and try again ?

For people who still maintain digital music collections: what do you use to manage your music collection and get either all of a subset of it onto your mobile device of choice? I'm particularly interested in iOS-compatible options that don't require a Mac, or solutions that help motivate dogfooding a #PostmarketOS solution.
