1. #FLX1s from @furilabs
2. #LibertyPhone from @purism or the lower-spec #Librem5 if you don't need Waydroid
3. #MechaComet from @mechasystems who tested two LTE modems with it recently.

I daily drive a Librem 5 with #PureOS and #postmarketOS so feel free to ask about the experience.

So our mobile carrier got bought out by T-Mobile, and I'm checking on my phone to see if the changeover has happened yet, because I can use my #Furi #FLX1s phone once the changeover happens.

I don't know if this is new, or something I just never noticed before, but my phone doesn't seem to know its own phone number.

One thing to note is that most people do not (and will not, ever) install an OS; they simply buy a device and Windows, macOS, Android, iOS come preinstalled. You could say they chose their OS by choosing the device.

In the same fashion, there are mobile Linux OSes, e.g. #PureOS and #FuriOS that just come preinstalled for users on devices: #Librem5, #LibertyPhone, #FLX1S+

I think it's this category of OSes that has the higher promise of adoption by normal non-technical folks.

@etbe Well, I've been daily driving a #Librem5 for the last few years (without Waydroid) and compared to most people's complaints about it, your reviews of the #FLX1s are glowingly positive! I haven't seen anything that would make it a deal breaker for most people.

I started working on my small-net browser / client again — named: SpaceMonkey.

I got a Linux phone a while ago — the FLX1s.

So, I made it so SpaceMonkey would work on my FLX1s Linux phone by turning it (SpaceMonkey) into a GNOME Phosh + Linux app.

An update on the wallet app I am creating for GNOME Phosh on Linux.

I am continuing to add support for Taler.

(A Taler exchange is where you would get Taler coins from.)

For the balances, the app groups the balances by currency (because I think it makes more sense to more people that way).

If you tap on the currency balance, then it shows the breakdown per Taler exchange.

@privacyguides I think #LinuxMobile is the only real path forward for freedom.

Instead of hoping in #Google, it would be better in the long run if concerned users rallied behind #Linux options (mainline or #Halium-based), and there are quite a few now, existing and upcoming.
