I have some questions about a pair of smart glasses I've been looking at. I'm trying to get out of the meta echo system if I can.
I've been researching the Rokid AI Glasses Style, specifically the version without a display. I currently have Meta glasses and am wondering what I would gain or lose by switching. I'd especially love to hear from people who actually own the Rokid Style.
Can the glasses' camera be used for live video on WhatsApp, so the person I'm calling can see what I'm looking at? Can the camera work with third-party apps such as Aira or Be My Eyes, either now or through future developer support?
How accessible is the Hi Rokid iPhone app with VoiceOver? Can you independently pair/configure the glasses, change settings, manage photos/videos, and update the firmware?
One of my main uses would be asking the AI what's in front of me. How well does this work in everyday situations? Can I use the touch controls instead of the wake phrase? Can the AI voice speed be adjusted? I sometimes listen pretty fast.
Can photos/videos be transferred to my iPhone and then shared normally through WhatsApp, YouTube, etc.?
How does the fit compare with the Meta Ray-Ban Vanguard, especially after several hours?
For U.S. users, are any AI features unavailable or different here? Also, how well do the photochromic/transition lenses work indoors and outside?
