  6. @etbe Yes battery life is short - just around 5 hours if auto suspend is not used. However, I've found that poor battery life is an easy problem to work around with no technical knowledge.

I simply have a charger everywhere (house, car, work) and charge when it's below 50%.

When I can't plug in to a charger, I use those tiny Anker Nano wireless power banks to charge while it's in my pocket or even while I'm using it.

  10. I smashed my FLX1s screen. I would love to replace it and maybe the Flashlight LED as well when I am at it. Did one of you already tried some replacement ? linuxphone.io/d/3-flx1s-screen . #Linuxphones #FLX1s

  16. @keepandroidopen Missing "Good, it may propel interest in real open devices".

EDIT: Thanks for the boosts! Obviously Android should remain open -- but I think we should also try to break free from Google entirely with projects like @postmarketOS

I'm thinking about trying to blog/make videos about #Linuxphones -- follow me and my blog (linked from profile) and add a like if you have interest (trying to keep the spam low here, folks)!

  21. Linux smartphone users, what phone and OS do you prefer and why?

I'm in the process of learning about Linux OS on smartphones with the goal of eventually using a Linux phone as my daily driver.

What features are most important to you?
What do you mostly do with your phone other than call/text?
    What about mobile banking?? >_>
Which phone do you feel pairs best with Linux?

Screen reader users: I am so sorry for what you're about to experience...

  26. @papawilf My two pennies, follow desktop environments: KDE, XFCE, etc; follow distros Linux Mint, EndeavourOS, openSUSE Linux, look at #linuxphones (Murena, Fairphone, GrapheneOS) to escape the hell of Big Tech. Some Linuxzines likes It's Foss.

  29. #flx #linuxphones #halium For anyone considering a Furilabs FLX phone, I just wanted to point out there's been a lot of issues going on with the company recently. Their blog post in 2024 about 4G and 5G were found to be false, as even today 5G still doesn't work properly in the USA on T-Mobile, on their FLX1 like they claimed it completely did. They also are now closing the source code to Andromeda, their Android compatibility layer...
