What I did is redirect my phone number to a SIP phone number. I configured it in #linphone on #waydroid and with this workaround I am able to make and receive phone calls with audio working in #FP5

Verdammt, ich muss wahrscheinlich mein Fairphone 5 einschicken. Kurz vorm Schlafengehen festgestellt, dass es nicht geladen wird.
Hatte mir letztes Jahr sogar einen neuen USB-C Port besorgt und jetzt eingebaut. Leider keine Besserung.

I have a Fairphone 5 with Simple Calendar Pro. The Fairphone Camera app and the calendar don't seem to have QR readers. Firefox just says that it's not a valid URL.

Edit: The built-in QR scanner seems to require a Google account, which I refuse to use.

Das Betriebssystem und die Community sind Klasse.
Wenn Du basteln willst, ist das genau das richtige.
Wenn Dir aktuelle Software und reibungsloser Betrieb wichtig sind, würde ich davon abraten.
Bin seit knapp einem Jahr auf #FP5 mit @e_mydata von @murena und zufrieden damit.

Hey, ich nutze ein #Fairphone 5 und hab dort #eOS drauf. Hab es selbst installiert.
Ansonsten ist das Android auf dem FP natürlich Google versäucht.
Kamera mit der original APP von FP finde ich gut!

eOS finde ich persönlich nicht optimal. Aber: es läuft ganz OK.
Ich werde mit dem Launcher nicht ganz warm. Mir fehlen hier die Widgets einfach. Hab nun auch andere Launcher probiert ... war aber noch nicht das optimale dabei. Habt ihr vielleicht Tipps für einen #Launcher ?

Sonst: ich komme von einem iPhone 11Pro. Und auch davor nur iPhone.
Größe vom #FP5 passt für mich.

Akkulaufzeit ist ein Thema für mich. Die ist nicht optimal. Hab daher nun immer eine PowerBank dabei. Hab ich mich aber dran gewöhnt. Wollte mal schauen, ob sich die Einstellungen hier noch optimieren lassen. Auch da: gerne her mit Tipps.

Versuche gerne Apps aus dem F-droid und ohne Google. Ist nicht immer möglich.

Was mich im Gegensatz dazu wirklich mal interessieren würde, wäre ein Pixel mit #GrapheneOS.

@waldschnecke I'm using a #Faiphone since 2019. First #FP3, now #FP5. In general they are solid phones, but I think the camera is probably mid class (I don't know the camera of the #FP6).

Das tut mir leid zu hören.

Bei mir geht halt zum Einen die Verbindung zum WLAN nicht mehr. Bei einem Verbindungsversuch springt es zwischen 5 GHz und 2,4 GHz hin und her. Zudem hat sich die Verschlüsselung zu WPA/WPA2 geändert. Das ohne meinen Eingriff über Nacht.
Das sich nun keine neuen Apps installieren lassen nervt nur. Gemeinsam mit den Problemen der Benachrichtigungen wird mir die Einschränkung einfach zu groß.
KDE mit meinem Linux kann ich nun auch nicht mehr nutzen, nur weil mein #FP5 über Nacht mein WLAN nicht mehr will.

Aber eigentlich will ich nicht all die #Tracker der #Bahn #TooGoodToGo und all der anderen Apps freien Lauf lassen. Das Nervt so richtig... nicht mehr Herr meiner Daten zu sein.
