When I recently migrated instances I learned hashtags were not moved as part of the process which ended up being a tedious en-devour.

To help others in the future I tossed together a web app that will let you copy hashtags from one server to another.  

There's no code that will remove or delete tags so those still have to be manually managed in your instance, but hopefully this saves someone the headache one day down the road as they move instances.

I'm using @elk canary, which started supporting scheduled posts using Mastodon's `scheduled_at` parameter. However, there's no way to delete scheduled / unschedule posts yet, so I published a Mastodon Unschedule CLI tool: https://github.com/jangobrecht/MastodonUnschedule

The Mastodon List Manager (https://www.mastodonlistmanager.org) is a real nice tool. Finally removed some old lists and put accounts on other lists instead. Would take forever with the mastodon client, but this only requires a few minutes.

i think i had my first truly positive #AI experience... i asked it to write code comments that could be transformed into API documentation for #Fedialgo, and other than the part where it repeatedly and strenuously suggested deleting all the most important parts of the code, it actually did a pretty good job.

I have posted about this before, but wanted to re-iterate how much in love I am with FediAlgo:

I’m currently on paternity leave so have around half an hour per day for social. That is of course far from enough to keep up with a chronological timeline like mine, and previously with Mastodon the FOMO was real.

Now I go to FediAlgo and I feel I got an overview over what’s interesting in that day. It’s also immensely customisable, but the defaults do a decent job for me.

The FediAlgo hashtag filter section now highlights any hashtags you've posted about recently.

Interestingly the most I've used the app the more I've found feed filtering gets a ton of mileage for me. It's a huge change of pace to be able to instantly flip between whatever people are talking about on the Fediverse. Not really something you can do on any other social media platform I'm aware of.
