Okay, intro post time! I've decided to only use Tumblr-style tags because I consider Wafrn to be my main audience, but Fedi and bsky users feel free to interact. :)

Hi! 👋 My name is Seven and I'm mostly here because I miss oldschool Tumblr I guess! I am also on Pillowfort under the same username and have two other Fedi accounts, the public one being @gibbon where I post in German.

I'm an autistic and chronically ill person approaching middle age who has never been able to work. I went to the German equivalent of high school and had to drop out just a few weeks into 11th grade, so I'm not the most educated. However, I have a talent for languages and would probably be learning several rn if autistic burnout wasn't currently kicking my ass.

As it is, I speak German, English and a little bit of Mandarin. I understand a little French. I've tried and failed to learn Polish and Cantonese (one day I will try again) and have been tempted to pick up Lingala for a while. I took Latin in middle school and enjoyed it. 💁🏻‍♂

My main interest at this time is gibbons! 🐵 I'm also super fascinated by human evolution, ape evolution in general, and that time period where our species coexisted with other species of human.

I don't really have hobbies anymore, but in theory I'm an artist with a focus on abstract art and like to do weird DIY projects, especially upcycling. I've watched a lot of Chinese dramas and intend to eventually pick that up again. I'm terrible at discovering new music, but appreciate a wide variety of genres when I do manage it.

I'm a presumably perisex nonbinary person who was assigned female at birth but aspires to be as much of an ally to transfem and intersex folks as it is possible to be. In a similar vein, I'm a supposed "low support needs" (the burnout makes it complicated) autistic who has had ENOUGH of lateral ableism against higher support needs autistics and people with intellectual disabilities.

(Come to think of it, I'm also a slightly chubby person who's passionate about fat liberation. Look, I just get mad when someone has it even worse than I do! Which should be the normal reaction!!)

I don't tolerate ableism against schizospec folks and those with personality disorders or dissociative disorders, either. I have beef with the psychiatric system. I still wear a mask in public spaces. I'm pro-plural, pro-therian, pro-furry, pro-kink etc. and do my best to be antiracist!

My name is Samantha or Sam for short, I've been using the Fediverse for close to 5 years now hoping between and running various Instances.

I prefer the software Sharkey as it gives a high character count along with some amazing quality of life features including alias' for custom emojis you can use for reactions but it can also can be used on a good amount of Mastodon based apps due to the Mastodon API Integrations.

I run a little Sticker making business that I'm slowly building up and have recently started selling Fediverse Stickers that ship all over the world.

I'm a huge advocator for the Fediverse and am hoping to start a local monthly group to showcase "What the Fediverse is", "Why you should be using the Fediverse" as well as "How to use the Fediverse". This is something I'm still planning out and trying to get rolling but I'm sure I'll share the details as it develops.

I also love video games, I've started trying to expand my type of titles I play but normally tend to lean towards, Minecraft, Hytale, Counter Strike 2, Euro Truck Simulator 2, GTA V, Hitman, Satisfactory or someother strange game I can loose myself in for hours. Happy for new suggestions for games for the future. (Mainly play on PC with Steam these days)

Last time around I dined out a fair bit on those Linux Format articles I used to write and that blog I used to run about my retro computing experiments. 🤓

Things got a bit intense though when I forked a beloved libre software program. People had "big feelings" about me both doing it in the first place and then no longer doing it anymore, and were "very normal" about it. 🙃

I think I've benefited from a couple of years' break. My plan is to start slow and try to keep my feeds fairly chilled places that help me escape from the nightmare hellscape of current affairs and domestic politics on both sides of the Atlantic. 😩

I'll probably be posting about general tech news, home computing nerdery, life in the rural South West of England, and the various quirky hobbies that I started picking up when I reached my thirties. There may also be occasional LGBTQ+ chatter seeing as that's a community to which I belong. 🌈

It's been a while since I created this account but was procrastinating with writing a proper introduction until @fiona forced me By making a post about it :3 (it was with consent) so here comes the #introduction:

My name is Sofie and my hobbies are: hiking, Gaming, Cuddles, watching movies/series and chilling/hanging out with friends.

A lot of my free time is spend on Volunteering for different causes like:

1 maintaining/managing different neighborhood centers and helping out with the activities/events that are organized there.

2 being part of different youth panels where we work together representing the younger generation in form setting up actions, writing down critique/advise and pressent them to different government organs. (like principalities and ministries)

3: at least I'm also active as a board member by the SP in Eindhoven where I Try to stand up for the most vulnerable people and the people who are on the moment invisible to our society, so they also get a chance of representing them self in different ways so they could also be a part in our ever changing society. #intro #firstpost
