And the highlight, for me at least, was the ham radio station GB3RS. Fully operational and served 7 days a week, 363 days a year, by more than 60 RSGB volunteers. Very impressive service, excellent station and radio exhibits.

¿Sabían que Doreen Valiente, una de las figuras más influyentes en la organización de la brujería moderna, trabajó descifrando mensajes secretos durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial?
Antes de convertirse en una escritora de referencia para el movimiento pagano y la Wicca en Inglaterra, Doreen Edith Dominy, nacida en 1922, puso sus habilidades al servicio del gobierno británico. Durante el conflicto bélico, fue contratada para laborar en las instalaciones de Bletchley Park, el centro neurálgico de inteligencia donde mentes brillantes se dedicaban a romper los códigos de las comunicaciones enemigas. Valiente se desempeñó allí de manera específica en el área de traducción y descifrado debido a su dominio de idiomas y su rigurosa capacidad de concentración.
Esta etapa de su vida permaneció bajo un estricto secreto oficial durante décadas. Fiel a su formación y carácter reservado, rara vez habló públicamente de sus labores de inteligencia militar, manteniendo la discreción que demandaba el servicio secreto incluso mucho tiempo después de que concluyera la guerra. Su experiencia en el manejo de textos complejos y documentos confidenciales influyó de forma directa en su posterior labor de documentación histórica, permitiéndole analizar manuscritos antiguos con un orden metódico inusual.
A partir de 1953, tras ser iniciada por Gerald Gardner, Valiente utilizó esa misma rigurosidad para reescribir y estructurar los textos litúrgicos rústicos que existían en su entorno, dotándolos de un lenguaje poético y coherente que transformó una corriente local en un movimiento de alcance internacional. Sus aportes literarios y su herencia documental siguen siendo objeto de estudio por su precisión histórica y metodológica.

Had a good day with my eldest. We went to the National Museum Of Computers at legendary Bletchley Park. I've been before, but he hadn't.
Despite his anxiety, he lasted a couple of hours which was better than I expected.
