On this day in 1942, Anne Frank received her first diary for her 13th birthday. On the cover page, she wrote: 'I hope I will be able to confide everything to you, as I have never been able to confide in anyone, and I hope you will be a great source of comfort and support." When she went into hiding during the Holocaust, her diary was one of the first items she packed.
Journeys in Film offers free Holocaust Education resources based on award-winning films to support educators who are teaching "Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl".

Schindler's List was one of our original films when Journeys was founded over 20 years ago. Our founder, Joanne Ashe, is the child of Holocaust survivors, and her father lived through the war because he worked in Oskar Schindler's factory. So this is a very special film for us. ❤️

At Journeys, it is our privilege to help teachers to bring Holocaust education alive in the classroom: to honor those whose lives were lost in the Holocaust, to honor survivors and their families, and to foster remembrance and prevention—today and all year round. Thank you to educators for all you do to teach new generations this terrible and important history.
