Hours before going for vacation it occurred to me, that my work on #Neo4j #VirtualGraph has been nothing but a continuation of what I am doing now for way over a decade: Enjoying myself a bit of #query languages AND #ObjectMapping
Neo4j Virtual Graph might be the last #ORM you ever need: It maps your relational data not into a somewhat boring object graph, but a property graph that can be queried in not all, but a lot of great ways that only #Cypher lets you.

I am somewhat proud about what we build… And the interest in #Graph on top #relational databases is big.
They did not get the #SQL out of me and now I can have it both ways with #Cypher :)
Hope my #Devoxx talk gets accepted for that topic.

What would one call a type of #cypher that obscures information by iterating over the encoded text and expanding parts of it into potentially even repeated or overlapping words that look or sound alike?
Example:
"Sylvia Esther stalls; a little less alone." for "Sylvester Stallone".It's not just initials (like "His ears look pretty" for "Help"), because it uses larger units than single letters.
It's also not exactly the reverse of an expanded acronym (like "DevOps" is to "Development and Operations"), since units can repeat and overlap in the cypher I mentioned ("stalls, a little less alone" expands to "stall a l l alone lone" kind of). -

I've been looking over the 2nd Edition #Cypher #ttrpg book for the past month, and one of the Types in the new game is Barbarian. WIth how Foci work, you could literally fill every party roll with a barbarian.
Healer? Barbarian who Tends to the Wounded.
Caster? Barbarian who Casts Spells.
Tank? Barbarian who Stands Like A Bastion. There's a Cypher descriptor called "Bookish," so you could make a Barbarian Librarian.

new setup and new campaign. first time bringing the desktop version of the mythic gme app to the test. i'm playing in "the third horizon" setting of the first edition of coriolis. i'm somewhat disappointed by the 2nd edition "the great dark" but i like the idea of the delves. maybe i'll mix them together. oh, the rule system i use is cypher... a heavenly match for solo play. #cypher #cyphersystem #coriolis #thethirdhorizon #solorpg #mythicgme #mythic #ttrpg

Fantastic Magnus Archives session last Monday. While the rest of the group battled aquatic Lightless Beasts in Loch Ness, a doomed PC found himself confronted with a soul-searing choice: become a disciple of the Dark, or die. He accepted the goblet of discipleship and Shattered it, killing himself by shrapnel. Then, at the most poignant moment, when his lifeless body rose to the surface….the Player pulled out “Cheat Death”.
Applause from all.
What a story beat!

Virtual graphs sourced from relational databases: this is what a great team and I have been occupied with at #Neo4j the last months. For me, it’s kind of full circle: #SQL, #Cypher and now SQL again behind the scenes. Somewhat a journey over a decade for me and still a topic near and dear to my heart.

Как мы строили MVP data lineage системы в ЮMoney
