  1. #London Northwestern #Railway (LNR) will add 42,000 extra seats a week on services to and from London #Euston as part of a national timetable change starting on Sunday 17 May. The operator is completing the rollout of its new Class 730/2 electric trains on routes between London and Milton Keynes and along the Trent Valley Line to destinations in #Staffordshire, #Warwickshire and #Buckinghamshire.

The longer trains will provide around 5,700 extra seats each weekday, increasing capacity on LNR’s Euston routes by 20%. Trains being replaced will instead be used to lengthen Birmingham services, creating more than 14,000 additional weekly seats.

LNR is also offering 50% off advance fares to London for travel in June. Timetable changes include a new weekday direct service between Walsall and Euston and two extra Saturday evening services between Birmingham and Liverpool.

  6. Common Broom growing in the exotic location of ... Beaconsfield Motorway Services. On Monday evening. It's in the pea family, as you may be able to tell from the shape of the flowers. #CarrotsAndPeas #WildflowerHour #Buckinghamshire #WildflowerHour #Bloomscrolling #botany #plants #flowers #wildflowers #photography

  7. On my walk from Aylesbury to Princes Risborough I spotted a few new bird species. I didn't get all the best photos though!

A Common Buzzard, a Yellow Wagtail, a Greater White throat, and a Green Woodpecker.

  12. This man was #driving way too fast on the #m1 #motorway in #Buckinghamshire - he clouted armco of the central reservation and busted front wheel/driveshaft - and carried on driving to a petrol station!

It seems he did not call 999 himself as he was committing a #DUI offence at the time - but was tracked down via #CCTV and brought before Crown #Court - he pleaded guilty and got 22 months in #jail due to the risk caused to other road users (he will likely serve about 8 months of that inside)

  13. My mother has snowdrops hiding under the beech hedge of her garden, where they're shaded but they get a bit of shelter from the weather. The first few are now flowering. Not wild, because she planted them there, but benefitting from a location that resembles their natural habitat. #Buckinghamshire #Bloomscrolling #botany #plants #flowers #photography

  14. Nothing for #WildflowerHour in Swindon or Bristol this week, the flowering Dracaena in our office definitely not counting. Fortunately the Mexican Fleabane that is aggressively taking over all the cracks in my mother's patio does still have a few flowers that just about survived the cold snap. #Buckinghamshire #Bloomscrolling #botany #plants #flowers #wildflowers #photography

  17. We get lots of Trailing Bellfower in Swindon on the old walls, but this one caught my eye because it was growing from a wall at the Catholic/Baptist/URC church in #Wendover, #Buckinghamshire. Yes, that's an *extremely* rare set of denominations to be sharing a church building. The sharing arrangements include Catholic statues having cloths draped over them during Free Church services. #WildflowerHour #Bloomscrolling #botany #plants #flowers #wildflowers #photography
