  1. #CW practice continues to go well with LCWO. I find that doing both the Lessons and Morse Machine to be effective. I'm also still using the IZ2UUF app but not as much as LCWO. It would be great if that app supported keyboard input for copying and then checking against the sent code.

  6. Another #POTA activation while being in #Eichstätt (Bavaria), DE-0010 (Altmühltal Nature Park). Equipped with my KX2 I could work #SSB only. Condx were not optimal. In between it rained. In the end 11 QSO in the log.
    Thanks hunters!

This is an interesting and helpful article, but I feel that the statement regarding the use of AI in its creation, should have been at the top of the page and not the bottom.

  11. Oh, I forgot to mention during my ham radio club check in the other day (OK I’m using text to speech and I totally said the other day in a Letterkenny voice)….
The longest serving ham doing the check-in had been an active ham for 60 years this year. Meanwhile, me being a ham for 10 days was the shortest ham member in the club.

  16. In the world of amateur radio,I have had some hits and misses lately.
Central Kiribati now worked on 3 bands.
Singapore spotted but unable to contact
Cambodia contacted but dropped the signal.
    Zambia in the log
The TS870 is still putting out max power so the loose connector issue resolved.
Antenna output connector on Dentron tuner may need replacing.
Worked Malta and Bulgaria this week in the mobile.Nice to see TS430 still has it going.
Could be a lot worse 🤪

Thanks @bud_t for hosting the net!

  18. I’ve listened to about four conversations over ham radio. It’s just super casual stuff. Debating the merits of various tomato varieties or how to use a big green egg grill in grilling.
One though, was about the vast reach of a specific repeater on grassy Mountain in Chatsworth Georgia.
That is the second highest mountain in Georgia. And this repeater is near the top. I like locating where repeaters are, then looking at the topo map of the area.

  19. Is the World Radio League worth investigating further / signing up for or is it a spam site like QSLWorld? #AmateurRadio

  20. Well tonight was a big step. I used my technician license for the first time by pressing transmit on my radio.
I checked into the Cherokee amateur radio society net here in Cherokee County Georgia. It is my most local club.
Though I am in range of several clubs here.
The next local hamfest will be in August over in Huntsville, Alabama.

  26. I picked up a used Bencher BY-2 off FB marketplace today. I think it was a good deal for $80. It cleaned up very nicely and has some great stories behind it. I bought it from the son of a silent key KL7LF, who had stations in Colorado, Fairbanks AK, and Johnston Island. His son gave me a few of his dad's #QSL cards as well.
