"Amigo" a free Amiga emulator for the iPad, is now available in the App Store. The app, developed by Thomas Lübker, is based on the latest version of WinUAE by Toni Wilen and is open source (GitHub) under the GPL2 license. Following a TestFlight beta phase, the app has now passed Apple’s app review. It emulates processors ranging from the 68000 to the 68060, OCS/ECS/AGA chipsets.

Maybe I just don't want to contribute to file-sharing statistics. Anyway, that is proof that emulators can serve a legitimate purpose.

Copperline, the Amiga emulator written by @LinuxJedi in Rust, now supports additional peripherals in version 0.15.0: A Roland MT-32 connected to the MIDI port is emulated, a real drive (USB, CF, SATA) can be assigned exclusively to the emulated Amiga, and a TCP stack is available without having to install one separately on the Amiga.

The developer notes that save states from Copperline 0.14.0 are no longer compatible with the current version.

I found this #VIC20 project repository on #GitHub for the #MEGA65. The xpr files in the CORE directory of the repository seem to be #Xilinx project files. Lacking know how and resources, I can’t turn these into core files for the MEGA 65.

Could some kind soul please do that and upload the core files? I’d love to have a VIC-20 core for the MEGA 65. 🙏

Thanks to a recent LGR Blerb on YouTube, I just learned about TinySol for DOS, a tiny Solitaire game written in assembly for the IBM-PC. This is really neat! I put everything on a 360K disk image and ran the game without issue through an 86Box virtual machine. This is fun! :computerfairies: 😎

I think I'm done with emulating games, outside of maybe a visual novel or something super cozy text heavy. I think I'm finding the process to be clunky and at the end of the day, I'm not sure there's a game I even want to play.

I keep tinkering, loading up stuff, dealing with roms, bios files, whatever, only to be bored or frustrated.

Are y'all emulating? If so, what games/experience are you finding to be the most fun for you?
