O tym, że film "Ciężkie czasy" ("Hard Times", 1975, Walter Hill) stanowił inspirację dla dwóch aren w grze "Street Fighter II", wiedziałem od dawna.
Dopiero dziś odkryłem jednak, że film wyświetlano w Japonii pod tytułem "Sutorīto faitā" (co było zresztą zgodne z jego pierwotną koncepcją, ponieważ amerykański tytuł roboczy filmu to "Street Fighter").
Na sklejce możecie zobaczyć japoński plakat do filmu, kadr z jednej ze scen walk i zainspirowaną jej scenerią arenę w grze.
Druga arena, która ma korzenie w tym filmie, to fabryka, w której walczy się z Zangiefem.
