when happy go lucky me
still rolled in a spiritual way
I faithfully subscribed
to the pious bromide
to hate the sin
but love the sinner

Clinging to the ancient cliche
that the power of forgiveness
would lead to redemption #eventually

God was I naive

I was that dupe ravaged continually
by those who steamrolled
over my praying carcass
with brazen impunity

And thus I now live cynically

A bitter old man
existing is this Age of Suspicion

My tattered soul
bubble wrapped in skepticism

Always moving cautiously

Всем привет! Меня зовут Александр Голубь, и я пишу на Go уже 7 лет. Когда я только начинал, казалось, что юнит-тестов достаточно. Функции проверены, сборка зелёная — можно релизить. Но первый же боевой проект показал, что это иллюзия. В продакшене всё падает, хотя юниты сияют зелёным. Почему? Потому что реальный сервис — это не только код, но и PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, внешние API. Данные проходят через цепочку зависимостей, и любая несовместимость ломает систему. Юнит-тесты этого не ловят. Тут нужны интеграционные.

there is no better defense
to block impediments to happiness
than blissful ignorance..

The concept that knowledge
is the key to enlightenment
while a well meant myth
will make one a miserable
son of a bitch..

Make denial your ally...

Embrace all counter realities...

What you don't know

but we're all gonna die anyway
so this glorious trade off
for being momentarily happy
is worth a little personal darkness

Implementation progress: got the crawler written & integrated with the indexes + thumbnailer (+`.gitignore` support) but not tested. The vector search persistence system is truly shocking..... I think I need to back it in an `njodb` instance.

Next up:

- testing the crawler
- integrating with the rest of the app
- HTTP API
- starting working on the web interface

@CosmicChaos yeah. honestly I saw a more open server chassis with 8 hot swap SAS bays and adequate cooling on amazon a bit ago. the quality is.... "thin unpainted garbage" from what I can tell, but my god it's got so much space and deals with the sas > sata cable spaghetti I've got going on. they're like $300 with rails. #eventually
