Coeliac Vegans!
Attending a summer picnic and sitting there jealously looking at your friend's partner chomping on a scotch egg, your vegetarian friend enjoying a meatless scotch egg and your vegan friend eating scotch breadcrumbs??
Worry no more!
Simply remove the meat coat, the egg and the breadcrumbs and hey presto, your very own delicious scotch air! You'll be hungry but you're beachbodready!

#TopTip when the weather heats up and you start packing a daily water bottle in addition to dish washing soap give it a good sterilization every now and then because all kind of mould and bacteria can lurk in them nooks especially if metal.

#TopTip Whatever you do - don't return a parcel via the wrong delivery company. There is no way of recovering from this mistake unless some kind person at the DPD depot walks across to the UPS depot and hands it over.. This happened due to us getting it wrong and the Post Office scanner thinking it was a valid DPD barcode

Is anyone attending Festival of Genomics in London later this month?
There’s going to be an #ensembl workshop and a whole host of other talks by folks from EMBL-EBI too. Should be a good one!
As well as attending the talks I’m going to be on the lookout for lab timer swag - they’re great for kitchen!

Top Tip: If you want to guarantee people to read an email, don't mark it as important. Instead, immediately follow it up with one of those "{sender} would like to recall this message" notices.

I have a personal rule that, as a moderator, I want to see everything that's tooted and I don't use filters.
However, in the case of #Strictly, I may have to make an exception to my rule 🤦

I'm extremely glad. I get to sleep in my own bed for the first time in a week. After George's improvement, that's high on my list of things I'm #grateful for.
George is a little less #thrilled. He clearly likes being home, but he doesn't like that the "grab George and give him #yucky #medicine and then put him in #bunny jail" routine is continuing here. Here is a photo of George in the home nebulizer chamber for the first time (he got this treatment at the Small Animal Clinic too).
Top money-saving tip if you ever have to #nebulize an animal - or maybe a small child - at home like this. A dedicated #nebulizer device that can be hooked to a hose will cost something like CDN $90. But all they are is a high-pressure fan / air pump that blows air through a reservoir containing water, with a gentle heat applied to the water, so the air moving through picks up water vapour (and whatever else is dissolved in the water). The air goes out the hose to the mask (for adults/older children) or chamber (for young children, pets).
You know what other device does that? A #CPAP machine. Since approximately all middle-aged men need one, and since you're supposed to have a spare in case your machine fails, you can use one for this purpose. Crank the #humidity setting to max, fill the reservoir with the water/etc you need to administer, and #voila - nebulizer for zero dollars.

To increase the size of the hole in the knee of your jeans just pull them on quickly with reckless abandon. Your toes will instantly find the hole and expand it.

Today's main #allotment job was getting the octagonal shed water resistant.
The old disintegrating cheap polytunnel material was removed first.
#TOPTIP: when covering a roof with a membrane do not fold it back under and up at the edges. What you're doing then is making a nice little pocket to keep the timber damp so it rots extra fast. Cut it in such a way that all liquid water can escape by gravity.
I have put offcut polytunnel polythene over the top, had to overlap two pieces. Trimmed it all neatly to the edges.
It isnt ideal stuff for the job as it isn't breathable. But it is what I have 🤷
Water "resistant" rather than proof mainly as it's full of staples.
Next stage will be to overlay new ply roofing panels, maybe felt them, and put polycarbonate in for the three "skylight" segments. There will be ridge caps and a top cap. I'm considering a ventilation vent through the apex. All in time tho, none of this is a near priority, and the key requirement is achieved.
