All indications are this is exactly as bad as it looked for those on site at #Giants practice today. Tough one for Austin, who was set for a key role.

The Calvin Austin injury, if as bad as it looked, likely secures the slot job for Braxton Berrios, who has had an excellent camp.

Berrios came in when Austin went down.

Also increases Odell Beckham Jr.’s roster odds. #Giants

It was an active day for Odell Beckham Jr. He caught two passes from Jaxson Dart in the competitive period, and two from Jameis Winston.

Four grabs for No. 3 — this in the non-card period.

He also made an absurd 1-handed grab in individual drills. Was old-school Odell. #Giants

Another step for Malik Nabers and the #Giants: He shed the red jersey and took part in 7-on-7 & 11-on-11. He wasn’t full (worked in for reps), but a step in right direction.

He made a nice grab diving back for the ball on an intermediate route/curl.

The Giants were without pads today, so not full contact in that sense, but a “contact” day for Nabers.

Again .. Week 1 looks good
