The people who spread politically motivated fear myths and moans about life-saving use of N95 masks during the peak of Covid19 in many ways revoked their right to access the masks when forest fire smoke is choking their locality.
If it was so 'uncomfortable' to help protect others by simply wearing the masks at that time, their 'freedoms' should be respected by not 'oppressing' them with access to the masks now.
This is the kind of congruent accountability societies lack, thus enabling political manipulation and mainstreaming of distortion.

Canada gets a lot of criticism for the smoke from #Wildfire but we can be proud of our dominance in the production of #ForestFire fighting aircraft. Any country flying a purpose built water bomber likely owns a small fleet of CL-215 or CL-415 aircraft. The CL-415 can scoop up to 6,140 L of water from a nearby water source and drop it on a fire without having to return to base to refill its tanks.#CanadaIsAwesome #AviationHistory

I was astonished to find an older study published on my blog in 2009: “The Fatal Forest Fire – Remembering the 1949 #MegaFire in the Forêt des Landes (Southwest France)” (https://cneffpaysages.blog/2009/07/13/the-fatal-forest-fire-remembering-the-1949-mega-fire-in-the-foret-des-landes-south-west-france/). It’s nice to see that an old, sick man’s publications are still being read!
However, I noticed a very strange referencing method: “Christophe 2009”. I’ve never seen a reference cited by first name alone.
Regardless, this is a very interesting study. I hope this study finds a wide readership, and that political stakeholders read it too! But for that, perhaps the authors should have also published it in Spanish and French! #wildfire #wildfireresearch #forestfire #climatechange -
