I am trying to convince folks on #JMA to add another #CTF server to the network. I am hoping I could get a big enough VPS from #BoxyBSD then run the #gameserver on #freebsd

The main objectives I have is evaluating FreeBSD to run a #Luanti gameserver. Some sources indicate that FreeBSD has better networking and IO management than #Linux. So this case might apply.

Other than that, we'll also have a secondary CTF server in the case main server is full or laggy.

Edit: I uploaded a screenshot. It is a poor red medic with a bounty on their head right before we cook him :))))

"Japan's Meteorological Agency, or #JMA, says a major tremor of magnitude 8 or higher could occur along the #Japan Trench and the Chishima Trench off #Hokkaido.

The advisory covers areas from Hokkaido to #Chiba Prefecture, and is the first issued for the region since the mega-quake warning category was introduced in 2022.

Officials are urging people to check evacuation routes, make sure home furniture is secure, and prepare emergency kits, including food, water and portable toilets.
