My top pruned Thai chili pepper plant is now bushier than the others not top pruned & it has almost same amount of flowers. Currently there are 19 peppers developing on it. My other Thai chili peppers plants are also loaded with flowers & each one has over 20 peppers on them. I'll do a harvest weigh in comparison, when they're all picked 🙂✌️💚

A fire mushroom for Mushroom Monday! These fungi pop up by the thousands in Spring in burned areas. In the right areas, the ground takes on an orange colour from the carpet of these cups, and it is hard to avoid stepping on any. These remain quite small, and this one is about the size of a pea.

I believe this is Geopyxis carbonaria.

With the recent lightning storm and subsequent new fires on Vancouver Island, the ecosystem can recover, if slowly.
