  1. Last week, I made a Pacific Wren at the request of a patron who visited my booth at a local festival. These birds are a found in the Pacific Northwest of the US and in southwestern Canada, as well as parts of Alaska.

I do all my work by hand on my iPad Pro in an app called Procreate. I don’t use any generative nonsense. I print everything in my own studio with a 12-color Giclée printer.

  3. Random bird question! This was new to me, but perhaps this behaviour is normal?

We had clothes hanging out on a line in the back garden this morning, and shortly afterwards, a wren was trying to get into my pants:

It landed on my jeans a few times and seemed to be stuffing nesting material up and into the space created by the upside-down waistband area. Is this.. weird bird activity?

Location: Dublin, Ireland. (See also note in post below.)

  4. This little chap has been making a filthy din in my garden for the last hour or more. Watching him, there are in fact two that emerge from and return to the same bush. There is also a constant bird noise which Merlin has been unable to identify, and I'm hoping there's a brood in there somewhere that is in the process of fledging.
