Everyone feeling indignant when people park and unfairly occupy a dedicated #disable #parking place.
Then, not everyone cares when organisations build #inaccessible website/apps that people with special needs or #disabilities cannot use (eg, applying for a job online, checking bank movements, reading news, etc...).

Many who know me know that I have a thing for #WeatherApps. I have many for various reasons. For instance, the #StormShieldApp for #iOS I have solely for its lightning alerts which cost $0.99 a month. They were reliable and thus I kept the app even though it was by and large an #Inaccessible mess when using #VoiceOver. However, now the price is about to rise to $4.99 a month and they gave users or at least this user less than a month's notice. So it's buh bye to this one. It makes me even more grateful to the developer of #WeatherGods not only for his implementation and offering of a subscription that includes Lightning alerts but also for his commitment to #Accessibility throughout the whole of his app. So, if lightning alerts are important to you, you might wish to consider supporting Weather Gods and its developer. I have no afiliation beyond being a happy user.

Attention all airline carriers, your native apps are not websites. Please stop building lazy hybrid experiences that make web views the norm in the Booking and other important screens in your apps! Web-centric components and designs do not belong in native apps, period. It may be cheaper to develop and faster to deploy, but these web views are slow and are very difficult to use with #AssistiveTechnology if not outright #Inaccessible. Do what's right, not what is easy!#A11y

#PublicHealthCare should never be #monetized & #monopolized for profits. Doing so results in more avoidable deaths, disabilities & illnesses - it never results in better patient quality care. Monetizing #HealthCare makes it #inaccessible for majority of citizens who need it the most.

The #diversity of #disabilities means #accessibility needs can be both wide-ranging within the community and specific to an individual. But in general, “there are very, very few venues where the stage itself is accessible. There’s a slightly larger number, but still plenty of places #inaccessible for an audience member to watch the show,” says Dan Hurwitz, co-founder of the Seattle-based comedian collective #TheDisabledList and a stand-up missing digits from his hands and feet.
#Comedians say their medium inherently requires flexibility and improvisation, but what’s being asked of them is #inequitable, may be illegal under #TitleIII of the #AmericansWithDisabilitiesAct, and can have long-lasting impacts on their careers. “A comedy stage is the entry point to these other opportunities that will help to develop your art,” notes Nina G., author of “Stutterer Interrupted” and a member of the Bay Area troupe #ComediansWithDisabilities Act. “If you’re not able to develop your art, how are you going to get those acting gigs? How are you going to write that sitcom? How are you going to get a special?”
According to Snipe, acts can face “the fire and the gauntlet” of navigating inaccessible public transit or expensive and unreliable rideshares even before they arrive. Once at the venue, ASL interpreters, audio description, ramps or accessible bathrooms are few and far between, whether in L.A., New York, or outside these coastal entertainment bubbles.

Curtis's humiliation came from the fact that at his graduation, the ramp to get onto the stage was too steep & #inaccessible for #WheelchairUsers.
Curtis has #EhlersDanlos syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that causes joint dislocations & severe pain, which is why he uses a #wheelchair & has a service animal.
