Und wer nun glaubt, viel schlimmer könne es nicht kommen, sollte nur einmal nach Brüssel und Straßburg schauen. Dort positioniert sich #ManfredWeber, der deutsche Vorsitzende der konservativen Fraktion im #Europaparlament (#EVP), inzwischen immer mehr als jemand, der von Merz immer mehr ins #Trump-Camp wandert. Vor ein paar Wochen trieb er seine Fraktion dazu, gemeinsam mit den #Rechtspopulisten gegen mehr Waldschutz zu stimmen. Und vor wenigen Tagen stimmten sie dann gegen strengere Umweltregeln für Unternehmen. Ohne irgendeinen Vorschlag zu machen, wie die Umwelt auf andere Weise besser geschützt werden kann.

While not mentioned by name in the notice, update page on #UK indicates previous exceptions which rendered Blighty safe from LinkedIn scraping are being eliminated too.

It's a good day for obscure international courts, as the often neglected EFTA Court made front-page news in Norway over its judgment in the Norwegian State v Greenpeace Nordic.

The head of #Greenpeace Norway is quoted calling the #EFTA Court "the most important tribunal Norway must deal with as an #EEA country". While the validity of this claim could be questioned, it is certainly more true today than it was yesterday.

The European Environmental Agency (EEA) will publish a report tomorrow about #eu citizens buying on average 19kg of textile/year (of which 8kg are clothes) in 2022, which was 17kg in 2019 and 14-17kg in the years before 2019. A very quick rise.

Textile production has a huge impact on the #environment, destroying the world we live in. 9% of clothes will be destroyed before being sold.
