I use that plastic split-loom wiring stuff. It seems to semi-deter rabbits, might be good for cats too? It's a different plastic and a different texture. Rabbits can still get through it, but it takes time.
For one particularly smart and determined rabbit we had, I used two layers of different sizes, one inside the other. That worked well.

Liquid from bottles especially sucking from #plastic #bottles by reducing the flow with lips, is #fun !
Seems to have something of a #natural feel or #science about it too.
Small high pressure intake... and also playing with food making it last or more enjoyable (brain)...
Also like #dogs having something plastic as chew toy related to #liquid or #food but more indirectly... #chewing action helps.

Cigarette #butts are made of #plastic which remains in the #environment with the #toxins in them, whereas chewing gum doesn't disintegrate at all.
It can be easy to advise, "don't smoke" or "don't chew" but hard to implement. I can say "stop corruption", or "work harder" but unfortunately it doesn't work that way.
