House rabbit owners can sympathize with this, overwhelmingly so.

I use that plastic split-loom wiring stuff. It seems to semi-deter rabbits, might be good for cats too? It's a different plastic and a different texture. Rabbits can still get through it, but it takes time.

For one particularly smart and determined rabbit we had, I used two layers of different sizes, one inside the other. That worked well.

Did you know you can make a #natural #vegan bubble gum at home with nothing but wheat flour? The texture is perfect and you really can make bubbles!

Just mix som flour with water, leave it for 10 minutes then rinse it under a running water for a few minuter. That's pure gluten. That's how you would make #seitan, the vegan replacement for meat. It's tasteless. It feels exactly like a bubble gum.

You can work in some powdered #xylitol for sweetness and dental benefits and give it to your #child. It will strengthen their jaws and protect them from cavities.

There were studdies that a chewing gum releases microplastics, since most of them are synthetic.

I have a #neurodiverse habit of #chewing the inside of my cheek. Been consciously trying to break it since it has worsened.

Last night while taking an #edible for pain, I decided to try the #konmari approach. I gave the habit my thanks for diligently trying to help me stay safe and aware. I told it that it had done its work and could retire now.

It hasn't worked like magic, but I am chewing less. I haven't needed to refocus it with a stick of gum yet. #suggestibility

@ajroach42 I should admit that there is one obvious issue with keeping house rabbits, which is they like to chew things.
We've got old second-hand furniture in the room with our rabbits, and some extra wooden doweling on the corners of the walls.
On the flip side, pet cats in our city eat lots of birds and lizards, so I'm happy to tolerate some chewing by our fluffy companions.
