  6. “Anxiety is a thin stream of fear trickling through the mind. If encouraged, it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts are drained.” – Arthur Somers Roche

    -> la #pregorexie : pregnancy/grossesse + #anorexie -> développer des troubles alimentaires pendant la gestation -> peu médiatisée car non conforme à la #pub #economie #politique #culture = “culpabilisation auto-alimentée” y compris par les proches.

Si “tout le monde peut plonger tout seul dans les troubles alimentaires, personne ne s’en sort seul”

  12. #EndoCannabinoidSystem: “Even if you don’t consume #cannabis, the #ECS is active in your body.
Research has linked the ECS to the following processes:
    . appetite and digestion
    . bone remodeling and growth
    . cardiovascular system function
    . chronic #pain
. #inflammation and other immune system responses
    . learning and memory
    . liver function
    . metabolism
    . #mood
    . motor control
    . muscle formation
    . reproductive system function
    . skin and nerve function
    . #sleep
    . #stress
All these functions help maintain #homeostasis or the stability of your internal environment. When an external cause interrupts your body’s homeostasis, such as pain from an accident or a fever, the ECS steps in to help your body recover to its normal state.”

  13. I seem to get (sometimes very noticeable) drops in mood around 3-4am. I've been very unwell with my chronic health conditions and under quite a bit of stress at the moment. Some of it seems like it could be hormonal (I think it's worse at some points of the month than others), but does anyone know what the specific timing is about? Cortisol? Sometimes it wakes me fully, other times I might experience a sad dream and/or be only slightly conscious, but I can still feel it.
