Neulich bot der oligarcheneigene Streamingdienst Dazn einen ganzen Champions-League-Spieltag der Oligarchenorganisation Uefa – das sind im Kampf gegen den teuflischen Trump-Buddy Don Infantino angeblich “die Guten” – paywallfrei an. Warum wohl? Kein einziges der Profimedien aus der guten alten Zeit wusste es; alle jubelten über so viel “Zuschauer*innen*freundlichkeit”. Tja, wie blöd kann mann sein?
Statt zu bezahlen musste mann nur einen Dazn-Account mit seinen persönlichen Kontaktdaten einrichten. Das ist Bezahlen. Dazn verliert nämlich in der nächsten Saison die TV-Rechte der Champions League an die Trump-Buddys vom Ellison-Clan (“Paramount+”), die kürzlich erst mit der überaus freundlichen Genehmigung der Trump-Behörden in Hollywood die “Warner Brothers” gefressen haben. Da gings nicht um siebenstellige Summen, die der böse Infantino sich eingesteckt hat, sondern um 11-stellige, die Medienmacht bedeuten. Aber wie sollen deutsche Journalisten das verstehen? Haben sie doch nirgends gelernt.
ARD
Was der Oligarch Blavatnik kann, dachte sich die ARD, das können wir auch. Was ist unser wertvollsten Glotz-Stück? Der “Tatort”. Und was nützt uns eine barriere- und werbefreie Mediathek? Nahe Nichts. Also wird der “Tatort” vor seiner Sonntagspremiere schon freitags ins Mediathekfenster gestellt, aber ist – wie beim angeblichen “Jugendschutz” – nur mit einem Account unter Abgabe der persönlichen Daten glotzbar.
Die ARD gewinnt so nicht nur Kontaktdaten, sondern kann auch das Glotzverhalten der Zuschauer*innen auslesen, um daraus Vorschriften für zukünftige Drehbücher abzuleiten. Denn nichts ist quälender für Programmdirektionen und Intendanzen, als die individuelle Kreativität von querulatorischen Drehbuchautor*inn*en. Irgendwann macht das die KI sowieso billiger.
Paywalls
Die Paywalls kommerzieller Medien funktionieren genauso. Entweder sind sie vorgeblich kostenfrei, um an die persönlichen Daten zu kommen – ganz wie früher die Drückerkolonnen am Hauptbahnhof, die einem eine fette FAZ oder Die Zeit aufschwatzten, wenn sie nur dafür die Adresse bekamen. Oder das “Probeabo” wird für einen symbolischen Betrag verkauft, und die folgenden Abo-Monate im Kleingedruckten bepreist.
Nicht nur fiese Grosskonzerne machen es so, sondern die angeblich so “alternativen” Linken wie Junge Welt oder Jacobin haben jeglichen Widerstand gegen den Materialismus des Systems aufgegeben, und kämpfen mit den gleichen Mitteln gegen den Datenschutz des Publikums.
ÖPNV
Als die Deutsche Bahn die Bahncard zwangsdigitalisierte, war sie mich als Kunden los. Mein Mitautor Helmut Lorscheid hat zwar einen Ausweg mit ausgedruckter analoger Version gefunden, aber das war mir alles irgendwann zu blöd. Als Herzinfarkt-Rekonvaleszent ist Reisen unter heute obwaltenden Umständen in diesem Land sowieso zu riskant geworden. Mit dem “Deutschlandticket” komme ich – trotz fortgesetzter Preiserhöhungen weit oberhalb der Inflationsrate – aus. Erfreulicherweise ist es noch nicht zwangsdigitalisiert. Aber lange wird das wohl nicht mehr anhalten.
Denn ausgerechnet der grüne NRW-Landesverkehrsminister hatte nun die Idee, allen, deren Daten die Verkehrsunternehmen immer noch nicht haben, nun – ganz der oben beschriebenen ARD ähnlich – diesen Köder auszulegen. Weil es mehr wert ist, als es kostet.
Die Zeit, in der die Menschen immer noch zu doof sind, den Wert des Schutzes ihrer Daten zu verstehen, muss ausgenutzt werden, bevor es zu spät ist. Da sind sie im real existierenden Digitalkapitalismus alle gleich – die Schlauen sind alle gleich, und die Doofen auch. Später wird es als kriminell erkannt. Wenn es zu spät ist. Dann brennen die ersten Rechenzentren.

They have News24 Renaldo Salianji in studio, He was reporting from some of the heaviest tear gassing of the protest over the past week.
He reported that he and other journalists suffered injuries from "both sides", but he specifically talked about being targeted by state police. He said they also won't let them film the arrests of minors (I assumed this meant having journalists accompany minors to make sure they are not maltreated as many adult arrestees are).
The anchor asked him if this is usual behavior and he replied that it's not. That in all his years of covering things, the police have never treated the press like this. He attributes it to PM Rama complaining about the media (Rama has complained specifically about News24, which is one of the few non-oligarch networks...he called for the arrest of the owner).
