In the next #USian King Election, the #DNC #Democrats are planning on running a leopard, whose disconcerting habit of licking its lips while looking at your face is dismissed, on the basis that the Republican candidate is morally reprehensible, and "you have to vote Blue, no matter who". #USPol

I'll say it again: the Democratic Party brought Trump to the Presidency, twice. And they did it DELIBERATELY.

It's on the record: the Clintons asked Trump to run for President in 2016, in pursuit of Hillary's "Pied Piper Strategy". The DNC then cheated the plurality (if not the majority) of their own primary voters out of their democratic choice by rigging the primaries to force out a progressive alternative - who himself promptly folded and shilled for Hillary.

This handed the Presidency to Trump on a golden platter.

The DNC then proclaimed in court that as a private corporation they had NO obligation to provide honest primaries, or any primaries at all; that they could literally choose the nominee in a smoke-filled back room, and that NOBODY could do anything to stop them. Tragically, the court agreed.

So it's hardly surprising that the DNC did the exact same thing again in 2024 - once again handing the Presidency to Trump.

Please note that prior to the 2016 election, then-President Obama gave himself and all future Presidents the power to order the extrajudicial murder of anyone, anywhere in the world. He then used that power to murder a 16-year-old American citizen, among others. That power was knowingly bequeathed to Donald Trump, without objection from anyone in the Democratic Party.

If anything, the Republican Party leadership •resisted• Trump. Wisely, as it turned out; not because they object to fascism (both parties are fascist), but because Trump essentially destroyed the old Republican Party power structure and recreated the party as his personal cult. The Republican Party as it once was no longer exists.

Rewarding the Democrats for surging America to barefaced fascism is not only stupid and suicidal; it's obscene.

It is amazing to me the DNC refuses to release their "autopsy" report by using the same excuse that caused them to lose the last election: Preventing people from talking about the issues they're concerned about.

Talking things through could be what galvanizes people. But these "leaders" are incapable of learning while using the word "learning" like it's some kind of buzz word. Instead, they want to keep trying to control the narrative while their party hemorrhage in membership. Tell me, what mistakes did the DNC make? Or are we just going to keep sweeping it under the rug?

These are not symptoms of a party of lowercase d "democracy". These are symptoms of authoritarians that don't want to lose control. It's incredible seeing such a party repeatedly shoot itself in the foot.

It's not a mistake. It's quite deliberate. I don't know what it takes for people to realize that the Democrats are just Republicans in drag, serving the same fascist oligarchs. But deluding yourself into thinking that the Democrats will somehow make anything better is simply pathetic.

They don't do it. They never do it. Even when they have supermajorities AND the presidency, they don't do it. If anything they use their power to advance the cause of fascism even more strongly than the Republicans do when they're in power.

"Look forward, not back". That was the excuse the Democrats gave for not investigating (much less prosecuting) torture and war crimes. They support Israel's genocide of children in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. They enabled the surveillance state well before Trump was on the horizon. Obama gave himself the unaccountable power to kill anyone, anywhere, for any reason—and used that power to kill a 16-year-old American child, along with uncountable numbers of children and innocent civilians in the Middle East.

Democrats are fascists, just like the Republicans. If you can't see that, you're part of the problem.
