Interoception, proprioception, and perception of dynamic mental states
Interoception means our “perception or sense of internal body states,” including the states of our cardiovascular, digestive, respiratory, and thermoregulatory systems among others.
Proprioception means “one’s own” or “ones’ individual” (Latin proprius) “perception.” We normally use this word to refer to our physical position in the world—whether we are standing or sitting, how we are moving, and how much energy we are using.
Both interoception and proprioception generally refer to physical states of the body though, of course, how we interpret those states may involve much more than immediate physical considerations.
Erroneous interoception or the misinterpretation of internal states is is generally thought to be an important contributing factor to many psychological disorders, including anxiety, depression, panic disorder, and more.
Consider some other levels of interoception—our states of mind; our mental impressions of other people and of ourselves; our senses of our own psychologies.
These levels of psychological reality are normally accessed through introspection, meditation, mindfulness, and psychotherapy. All of these methods are good, but each of them lacks ongoing, real-time input from another human being, thus missing the dynamic functioning of the human mind in real-life situations.
FIML corrects this problem by providing objective, dynamic access to real-time psychological functioning. FIML is a method or tool for optimizing human psychology by honing our perceptions of our mental states as they actually function in real-world situations.

In early Buddhism, Buddhists believed that nirvana is achievable in this life
It has been shown conclusively that in the earliest sutras Buddha is shown as having attained nirvana in this lifetime, and did not lose it during the decades before his death. Hundreds of years later, in Normative Buddhism, the early picture of Buddha’s enlightenment as nirvana had become increasingly modified, to the point that many came to consider it impossible to attain nirvana in one lifetime. Nevertheless, this must not mislead us into thinking that such was the view of the Buddha’s followers in his lifetime, or soon after his death. It is logically necessary for the Buddha to have achieved nirvana and for his followers to have believed that they could do the same thing if they imitated him, in order for such later ideas to have developed in reaction to it. If the Buddha had not achieved his remarkable, heroic breakthrough, there would have been no Buddhism.
Beckwith, Christopher I.. Greek Buddha: Pyrrho’s Encounter with Early Buddhism in Central Asia (pp. 42-43). Princeton University Press. Kindle Edition.
__________
In early Buddhism, it is also true that no one thought of the Buddha as a god. The Buddha himself, even in ‘Normative Buddhist’ texts claims that he is ‘just a man’ and that anyone can achieve nirvana if they do the work (karma). It would probably be a good thing for Buddhists today to emphasize these points; and by so doing, remind Buddhism of its deepest roots — Nirvana is a real state that anyone can achieve if they do the work; and all dharmas (things) are characterized by the Three Signs, or Trilakṣaṇa: “All dharmas are anitya ‘impermanent’…. All dharmas are duḥkha ‘unsatisfactory, imperfect, unstable’…. All dharmas are anātman ‘without an innate self-identity’.” ABN

CW: So the clear winner on my should-I-run-my-own-RSS inquiry was "do it", and now I am excited to see how that will play out.
I have found some nice resources, in particular the RSS Advisory Board has a nice and clean website covering specs[1], best practices[2] and a validator with really helpful hints[3].
I also found the Atom spec [4] as an RFC, but no other resources nearly as friendly so seems I'll be sticking with RSS.
Last night I wrote a minimal working and valid feed [5] that is already live [6]. Next step is writing the script to somehow parse the XML and modify it with new posts and a new "last built" date.
To start off, I won't even consider parsing escape sequences, comments, and the posts won't have any content, just a title and a link.
Initially I'll try and see what I can hack up in OCaml, but I might change language depending on what tooling I find across them. Some other candidates are Roc, Scala on Ammonite, Arturo and Nushell.
By the way, for a while now I've been on a whole quest for finding a typed scripting language to call favorite, and though that is a whole different matter this will be a nice project to test these candidates on.

CW: vent, something I noticed that is kinda abelist, also I feel like I am good spirits enough to finally do it now
Can people stop saying I shouldn't do art coms or anything business related due to my anxiety or mental health problems? I noticed that for a while now on other discord servers and it annoys me.
I thought of that is why I couldn't do it for a long time, but then I seen people with worse anxiety or the same mental illnesses then me be able to do business, or art coms, so I don't believe it anymore.

Superstitious? Me? Pfft… Unless the Universe is Listening.
Are you superstitious?

Am I Superstitious? Let’s Just Say… It’s Complicated.
Wanderlust Chronicles Page-Turners Galore Silver Screen Escapes Glam Squad Essentials Chic Chronicles Tiny Treasures Home Sweet Home Nail Envy Gifts Galore
This morning, my son and his buddies threw out a dangerous question: “Are you superstitious?”
Now, logically, I want to say no. I don’t walk around tossing salt over my shoulder or fearing black cats. But if we’re being honest… I also refuse to say things like “Wow, nothing has gone wrong today!” because I know the universe is listening.
So, am I superstitious? Let’s just say I respect the possibility of unseen forces—but I’m also not afraid to test them.
Let’s break it down.1. The ‘Don’t Jinx It’ Rule (AKA, I’m Not Stupid)
Culinary Delights Step into Style WFH Warriors Love in the Time of Chaos Game On Tech Talk DIY All Things Easter🐣🐰 Ride in Style Camping/Outdoor Essentials
You ever confidently say something, only for life to immediately slap you in the face?
🔹 Example: “Ugh, I never get sick.” Boom—suddenly, I’m drowning in tissues and self-pity.
🔹 Pain Level: 9/10. Because why does the universe have to be so petty?
✅ How I Handle It: I knock on wood. Every time. Even if it’s fake. Even if people are watching. If I forget? You best believe I’m mentally whispering “no jinx, no jinx, no jinx” to undo the damage.
2. The ‘Something Feels Off’ Rule (My Sixth Sense is Real)
I don’t know if it’s energy, instinct, or just years of experience with people being sketchy, but if something feels wrong, I listen.
🔹 Example: Walking into a place and feeling an immediate, unexplainable sense of nope.
🔹 Pain Level: 10/10 if ignored. Because the ONE TIME I brushed it off, I ended up in a situation I never should have been in.
✅ How I Handle It: If my gut tells me to leave, I leave. No debating, no justifying. The last thing I need is to become the main character in a bad horror movie.
3. The ‘Ghosts? Prove Me Wrong’ Rule (I’m Ready for This Fight)
Unlike most people, I don’t fear ghosts, Ouija boards, or haunted places—I’m fascinated by them. Do I believe in spirits and the paranormal? Not really.
But am I willing to test it? Hell yes.
🔹 Example: While some people refuse to step foot in a haunted house, I’m the one saying, “Alright, if something’s here, show yourself.”
🔹 Pain Level: TBD. But honestly, if a ghost did prove me wrong, I’d be more excited than scared.
✅ How I Handle It: If the supernatural wants my attention, it better bring receipts. Until then, I’m keeping my skepticism and my curiosity wide open. So, Am I Superstitious?
Let’s put it this way—I don’t live in fear of bad luck, but I also don’t poke the bear (except when it comes to ghosts, apparently). If knocking on wood, trusting my instincts, and challenging the unknown keeps things interesting, then I’m all in.
Now, tell me—are you superstitious?Or are you the type to laugh in the face of fate?
Drop your thoughts in the comments… but if your luck suddenly changes, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Good toolboxes must be able to hold water in the bottom (so they can keep it out). Many get that right, but some surprisingly expensive ones get it wrong, with feet clipped through the bottom or gimmicky metal parts with rivets that will leak.
The lid must have no perforations, to keep rain from going in. Almost all get that wrong, either because the handle hinges penetrate the lid like here, or if they manage to avoid that, they add storage compartments in the lid which a) pool water and b) penetrate the lid for their small hinges.
They also must have a drip lip on the lid, but most get that part right.
This one sadly is only half good. It keeps water out but the hinges on the handle go through the lid.
It was only €5 though :)

A family that makes art together... by Courtney Martin [Shared]
One of my friends—a recovering hard-driving activist lawyer superstar—has been pursuing a quieter, more art-filled life for the last couple of years. She’s also a mother to a tenaciously curious and emotional boy. She has asked me, over and over, how it is that I weave art-making into my life, and the lives of my kids, so organically.
I’m touched by her inquiry—until she pointed out how much she admired this aspect of my life and my parenting, I actually didn’t give much thought to it. The girls and I make art together because that is how I know how to be a person in the world, like breathing. But the more I’ve thought about her question, the more I’ve realized that it does require some intentionality.
