Vorgestern scrollte irgendwo ein Hinweis auf eYou durch einen meiner Social-Media-Streams. Und ich bin ja immer schnell dabei alles auszuprobieren. eYou kann man nur per App unter iOS oder Android nutzen. Deutlich steht in der App zu lesen, dass man sich noch in der Beta-Phase befindet. Das Impressum weist einen Sitz in Kroatien aus. Und auf der Seite heißt es

Das liest sich gut. Ich hätte es aber auch so ausprobiert. Also fix installiert, einen Namen ausgesucht und los geht der wilde Ritt. Man kann (zur Zeit) nur nach Namen und Handles suchen. Nicht nach Themen oder Beiträgen. Hashtags gibt es nicht. Einen wie auch immer zusammengestellten Feed für „Entdecken“, „Abonniert“ und unter „Pulse“ laufen angeblich vertrauenswürdige Nachrichten durch.

Gestern war ich vom Entdecken-Feed vollständig genervt, weil augenscheinlich ausschließlich postpubertierende mit mangelhaften Sprachkenntnissen gesegnete Kasperköpfe Blödsinn posteten. Ich bin aus dem Blocken gar nicht raus gekommen. Allerdings gibt es auch völlig normale Postings. Einige wenige von Threads bekannte Accounts habe ich gefunden. Allen scheint bisher gemein zu sein, dass rechte politische Ansichten ziemlich unwillkommen sind.

Nach dem Posten beginnt unaufgefordert und sofort eine KI mit dem Faktencheck. Bei dem Post zu meinen Anfragen im Ausschuss für Stadtentwicklung ging das gar nicht mal so schnell und ich bin auch ein bisschen überrascht, dass das Netzwerk sagt, ich sei ein Kommunalpolitiker. Das habe ich im Text ja so explizit nicht geschrieben. Jedenfalls habe ich den Verifiziert-Haken für zwei Behauptungen bekommen.

Allerdings kann dieser Faktencheck auch eine Chance sein, um gegen Hass, Hetze und Falschinformationen zu arbeiten. Bisher sind sehr wenige Postings von offensichtlich rechten Accounts dort aufgetaucht. Die überwältigende Mehrheit scheint dort anders unterwegs zu sein und konsequent zu blocken. Ob das mit Fernbleiben mit dem Faktencheck zu tun, vermag ich nicht zu sagen.

Eine Alternative zu den amerikanisches Netzwerken von Meta und dem verrückten Ketamin-Junkie zu haben, erscheint mir allerdings gut. Obwohl man dann auch einfach gleich ins Fediverse hätte gehen können. Das ist etabliert, funktioniert und ist dezentral – da gibt es eben auch Instanzen aus Europa. Außerdem weiß ich nicht, wie die Betreiber hinter eYou ticken und wie sie sich langfristig finanzieren möchten.

Für eine Beta macht es jedenfalls schon halbwegs Spaß, die Benutzeroberfläche finde ich ziemlich gelungen und bei den wenigen Nutzer/innen ist es bisher auch ziemlich flüssig!

This morning, my son and his buddies threw out a dangerous question: “Are you superstitious?”

Now, logically, I want to say no. I don’t walk around tossing salt over my shoulder or fearing black cats. But if we’re being honest… I also refuse to say things like “Wow, nothing has gone wrong today!” because I know the universe is listening.

So, am I superstitious? Let’s just say I respect the possibility of unseen forces—but I’m also not afraid to test them.

1. The ‘Don’t Jinx It’ Rule (AKA, I’m Not Stupid)

You ever confidently say something, only for life to immediately slap you in the face?

🔹 Example: “Ugh, I never get sick.” Boom—suddenly, I’m drowning in tissues and self-pity.
🔹 Pain Level: 9/10. Because why does the universe have to be so petty?

✅ How I Handle It: I knock on wood. Every time. Even if it’s fake. Even if people are watching. If I forget? You best believe I’m mentally whispering “no jinx, no jinx, no jinx” to undo the damage.

2. The ‘Something Feels Off’ Rule (My Sixth Sense is Real)

I don’t know if it’s energy, instinct, or just years of experience with people being sketchy, but if something feels wrong, I listen.

🔹 Example: Walking into a place and feeling an immediate, unexplainable sense of nope.
🔹 Pain Level: 10/10 if ignored. Because the ONE TIME I brushed it off, I ended up in a situation I never should have been in.

✅ How I Handle It: If my gut tells me to leave, I leave. No debating, no justifying. The last thing I need is to become the main character in a bad horror movie.

3. The ‘Ghosts? Prove Me Wrong’ Rule (I’m Ready for This Fight)

Unlike most people, I don’t fear ghosts, Ouija boards, or haunted places—I’m fascinated by them. Do I believe in spirits and the paranormal? Not really.

Philippines Digital Economy Reaches P2.74 Trillion In 2025

The digital economy of the Philippines grew to P2.74 trillion in gross value added (GVA) in 2025 and its contribution to the nation’s gross domestic product (GDP) is at 9.8%, according to a business news report by GMA News.

The Philippine digital economy continues its upward trajectory, reaching a Gross Value Added (GVA) of P2.74 trillion in 2025, accounting for 9.8% of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP), according to the latest preliminary data from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

Last year’s digital economy GVA grew by 5.4% from P2.59 trillion recorded in 2024 as the country moves forward with digital transformation initiatives across public and private sectors.

The PSA defines the digital economy as encompassing four main areas: digital-enabling infrastructure, digital content and media, e-commerce, and government digital services.

Digital-enabling infrastructure remained the primary driver of GVA, contributing P1.79 trillion to the total. 

Within this sector, growth was fueled by ICT services with a 27.1% contribution, ICT manufacturing with 13.6%, and ICT-enabled services with 13.3%.

E-commerce followed as a significant contributor at 32.2%, while digital content and media accounted for 2.2% and government digital services made up the remaining 0.3% of the digital landscape.

Beyond monetary value, the digital sector has become a massive source of livelihood for Filipinos. 

In 2025, the digital economy employed 10.39 million people, accounting for 21.2% of the country’s total workforce. 

This was a 1.2% increase from the 10.27 million workers recorded the previous year.

The digital economy of the Philippines grew to P2.74 trillion in gross value added (GVA) in 2025 and its contribution to the nation’s gross domestic product (GDP) is at 9.8%, according to a business news report by GMA News.

The Philippine digital economy continues its upward trajectory, reaching a Gross Value Added (GVA) of P2.74 trillion in 2025, accounting for 9.8% of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP), according to the latest preliminary data from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

Last year’s digital economy GVA grew by 5.4% from P2.59 trillion recorded in 2024 as the country moves forward with digital transformation initiatives across public and private sectors.

The PSA defines the digital economy as encompassing four main areas: digital-enabling infrastructure, digital content and media, e-commerce, and government digital services.

Digital-enabling infrastructure remained the primary driver of GVA, contributing P1.79 trillion to the total. 

Within this sector, growth was fueled by ICT services with a 27.1% contribution, ICT manufacturing with 13.6%, and ICT-enabled services with 13.3%.

E-commerce followed as a significant contributor at 32.2%, while digital content and media accounted for 2.2% and government digital services made up the remaining 0.3% of the digital landscape.

Beyond monetary value, the digital sector has become a massive source of livelihood for Filipinos. 

In 2025, the digital economy employed 10.39 million people, accounting for 21.2% of the country’s total workforce. 

This was a 1.2% increase from the 10.27 million workers recorded the previous year.

Las Piñas Mayor April Aguilar led the program with the distribution of food carts to six selected Las Piñero families, marking the first step in providing sustainable income opportunities for local communities.

The program is designed to empower residents by giving them the tools and resources needed to operate their own small enterprises.

Aguilar said that beneficiaries are given a chance to earn a steady income and build a better future for their families.

Over 1,400 Las Piñas City Senior Citizens Receive 1st Quarter Pension

Recently in Las Piñas City, more than one thousand four hundred senior citizens from three different barangays received their social pension of P3,000 each for the first quarter this year, the City Government announced. Mayor April Aguilar personally attended the distribution and met with the constituents.
