Drei Familien sind mit Kindern im Kinderwagen(!!) im hochalpinen Gelände unterwegs. Das alleine ist schon irre!

Mehrfach vom Weg abkommen, mit Kinderwagen? Und umkehren offenbar keinerlei Option wenn man schon bemerkt, dass man es nicht schafft auf einem markierten Wanderweg zu bleiben?
Ich hoffe jedenfalls, dass hier eine saftige Rechnung ausgestellt wird. Und, dass es Anzeigen wegen Kindeswohlgefährdung gibt.

You know, what bothers me so much about the way people use LLMs?
Is that everyone who I've interacted with, that uses them often will get extremely defensive at you for even expressing annoyance for the moral implications of paying someone for access to data they have stolen.
It almost seems like it becomes part of their view of self, in ways that even creep me out; people that usually are level-headed becoming fanatics of a technology that, while yes, is in my opinion coo, has been of course used as an excuse to restrict personal liberties, and further oppress the working class.
Why, why defend something so disgusting, so much? I get selfhosting a model to toy with, or training your own with YOUR data, or one you have permission to use.
But why defend your usage of a service that directly funnels money in wallets of "people" that don't even see you as a human being?

auch wenn das derzeit "auf Eis gelegt" ist, aber die TIWAG will Wasser aus dem Ötztal für die Energiegewinnung ableiten - aus einem der trockensten Alpentälern Wasser in ein anderes Tal leiten.Zu solch warmen Zeiten schmilzt nicht nur das Gletschereis sehr schnell, ich prognostiziere, auch das Eis auf das gewisse Dinge gelegt wurde, schmilzt schnell. Wohl schneller als viele jetzt denken.

Es wäre interessant ob und wann es solch extreme Intensität schon mal gegeben hat.
Und es ist genau das, wovor die Klimawissenschaft schon seit Jahrzehnten warnt.Bis zu einem ähnlichen Ereignis müssen wir sohl nicht ewig warten, mit steigender Erwärmung werden solche Ereignisse eben sehr viel wahrscheinlicher.
Die Erwärmung wird noch mindestens viele zig-Jahre andauern (CO2 bleibt viele hundert Jahre in der Atmosphäre). Und ausgerechnet jetzt mobilisiert die Fossil-Lobby massiv um die Klimaziele auszuhebeln und abzuschwächen.
Also dann, fahren wir halt gegen die Wand, die Superreichen wünschen es so, die Politik liefert ihnen. Aber wundern darf es dann niemanden wenn es so richtig kracht.

Zum gestrigen Unwetter in Sölden / Ötztal (🧵, 1/x):
Hier zeigt sich nun die Wucht der Klimakrise - und das traue ich mich zu sagen, ohne dass ich Metereologe/Klimaforscher bin.Weil, nicht die Niederschlagsmenge sondern die Intensität war das Problem. Auf vollkommen ausgetrocknete Böden und im bewohnten Gebiet auf viel versiegelte Fläche.
Überrascht darf niemand sein, dass Wetterextreme stärker und häufiger werden, wissen wir seit Jahrtzehnten - nur verdrängt hat man es bisher immer (und macht das wohl weiterhin).

i hate being a fedi admin. i mean i hate being a personally-involved admin. i like the technical stuff but i wish i didnt have to deal with HUMANS being fucking humans. everyone likes feeling like the admin is on their level because everyone likes to have a powerful friend, but its not a fun role because everyone tries to manipulate u & doesnt give a shit abt how u feel. im sure sujiyan of mstdn.jp for example is having a much better time than i am because he doesnt give a shit and barely interacts w his own community. its because of fucking PEOPLE that i have issues. i love machines. machines are predictable. a machine doesnt have selfish impulses, or spontaneously become malicious, or treacherous, or ditch u out of boredom, or start dumb dramas, or anything like that. We seem to have picked up a stray child somewhere along the way over the past couple of weeks.
This kid is the same age as our second to youngest, but developmentally is about as old as our youngest.
They are about to wear out their welcome, but it's difficult to tell a kid that they really need to go home. Their parent supposedly works third shift (say, 7/8pm to 4am or so), but there have been plenty of times when this kid has said that they don't know where the parent is when said parent would/should be home asleep or napping or whatever. I get that. But then they're like "parent is not home, I don't know where they are".
Have I said this kid is 13? Hanging out with our 9 year old?
This kid eats more than our high school kids. We can't necessarily afford to feed this kid all the time. They ask if they can some of our pre-packaged snack food home with them.... gonna go with a negative on that one, ghost rider.
Sorry, I really just needed to #vent on that one. I feel for the kid, but come on....

So as you may know: whenever I’m visiting grandparents I have to boymode and endure being deadnamed and misgendered… and each visit I say I just want to go “scorched earth” band darn the consequences, but scared of ruining my relationships with my extended family.
Well I think I’m at the breaking point, and I will go scorched earth when I get home as I can’t keep pretending to be this unit that I’m not, and having this charade making me miserable… I’m a Trans (Demi)girl, and if they have a problem with that: to hell with them (though I’ll probably word it better then that through the safety of an email :neobot_laugh_sweat:)!
