I stood in front of this little machine and was completely mesmerized.

Apple Macintosh Classic II (1991) - the very last black-and-white compact Macintosh Apple ever made.

9-inch monochrome screen, 16 MHz 68030 processor, perfect all-in-one design. Even after 35 years it still looks incredibly clean, elegant and timeless.

Sometimes the old machines have a "soul" that modern computers just can't replicate anymore.
Or it's just me getting old now 🥲

If I had my say. As long as there is free willed consent. Anyone can marry anyone. Anyone can have sex with anyone. Anyone can present or change however they want. Hormones are healthcare. Abortion is healthcare. Adoption would be better funded. Group homes would be better funded. Education would be better funded. Unbiased programs for houseless, mental heath, and assistance would be funded.
Many drugs, (but not all) would be legal. Treatment programs would be funded. Progams for clean resources would be funded. Clean energy would be funded. Internet access is a utility. More counselors, less police. More teachers and paid! Support for EMS, fire & rescue. Everyone should be able to get and afford food.

So long without watching DVDs, you know.. I don't have a state-of-the-art "tech" TV, just a 32" 2017 samsung. But still: It is shocking seeing how video resolution was 2 decades ago.

I still remember when I was a 13 year old, attending to a "Music Exposition", a huge event where lots of brands and products related to music business showed their last launches:

And there was I, queuing to enter a movie theater-style booth, where SONY showed us the DVD... A quick explanatory video, and then 5 minutes of "SPACE JAM" (the movie), with hi-fi sound and the AMAZING fact that when pausing, there were no distorted image, nor the usual "VCR-lines"... just a clean image. Plus: the option to change languages ​​and subtitles. IT WAS REVOLUTIOARY, and of course, impossible to get ($$$$$$).

Nowadays, even a 10-year-old-TV shows its real resolution. Anyway, I love DVDs, especially music DVDs: live performances, documentaries, bootlegs, etc. I own them with pride!!

I'm thinking about how to realize multilingual functionality on the rework of my blog or if it's even worth the hassle at all and instead of mixing different languages in one system it may be better suited to strictly separate each language in its own discrete Blog. 🤔

Further more I'm thinking about how and were PureBlog fits in all of this in the foreseeable future of my digital life of expression.

Plan is, in the foreseeable future Mastodon shall become mostly a way of distributing and sharing posts of my blog into a broader audience while mostly the reactions tracks back to my blog and take interactions there.

The only major downside of Kirby for me is it's license pricing every 3 years or so. I do like the idea of a fixed license price for a product that has to be renewed regularly but at the same time that's a factor to calculate.

I’m increasingly noticing how CachyOS is slowly but surely becoming my preferred Linux distribution for all my activities outside of gaming. 🤔😅

Mint, as a Linux distribution, not only feels slower but also demonstrably delivers fewer FPS when gaming. 🙄

I might switch completely to CachyOS and delete Mint after all, as I currently see no need for two separate operating systems on my PC, especially since I deleted Windows for good and definitely! 😉

Maybe I'll become a admirer of arch after all and one day in the future will do my own raw install of it instead of using easier Distribution based on it. 😁

I had this thought the other day while out on a run. I've done no research, and I don't believe I've seen this take on #AI anywhere else, so as of this very moment, it's a truly original thought (to me, at least). Full disclosure, this is a bit of a thought experiment, shitpost, mental exercise kind of post, so hear me out:

What if instead of replacing workers, programmers, writers, artists, engineers, etc. with AI, we replaced executives, starting with CEOs and politicians? So, basically, instead of starting from the ground up, we worked from the top down.

There are fewer executives than there are workers, so this would require fewer bots, which would hopefully mean fewer data centres. An AI with the right prompt/conditioning/logic model could, I think, be relied upon to make better, more objective decisions than any CEO or politician. The AI model would, theoretically, be outside of the realm of influence because it can’t own anything. Money has no meaning to an AI.

Some of the primary motivations, objectives of this AI could be something like: (1) primary goal is to save planet Earth while retaining the human population and increasing biodiversity, (2) don't seek to end the human race, (3) work towards diversity, equity, inclusion, (4) seek to re-allocate human resources instead of removing the human element from the equation.

These are just some random ideas for what the directives would look like, so you get the general idea. Also, I speak as if it's a singluar AI, but these would be general directives for all AI, at any level of government or corporation.

I like this approach because it solves a couple problems that we are currently experiencing: CEOs can't be trusted, politicians can't be trusted, wealth inequality is systemic, companies, corporations, and countries can’t be trusted to make decisions that have planet earth's interests at heart, and while I’m not saying we can trust AI, especially with this current iteration, I can confidently say that I trust a calculator more than I trust Felon Tusk or President Dump. Not to mention, this approach replaces the few instead of the many.

Just a thought I had, and I hope others will find it fruitful for further thought explorations.

Why is it delusional (mohā) to say the body is me, mine, or myself? Because the body's matter/energy constantly change, move, become different. There is nothing stable there to call a substance or essence. The same is true of thoughts and feelings. It's like calling a flowing river 'me'.
