- buffyleigh: My emotional support album of the year. I’ve been a fan of AFI since 2000 but haven’t liked an album since 2006. The second I heard the first single “Behind The Clock”, my expectations for this album skyrocketed, and they were absolutely exceeded. It sounds nothing like anything they’ve ever done, and yet it feels like this was the album they’ve always been moving towards. Song of the year goes to the entirety of side A, and Davey Havok’s unexpectedly different sound on this album is my overall favourite vocal performance of year. ↩︎

- jomel: 2025 was a great year for Belgian music. Stef Kamil Carlens, co-founder of dEUS has released a gem with his new band The Poem. I have seen SKC twice this year, once in a solo gig, and the second time (in less then 2 weeks) for the “worst Case scenario” rewind from (and so with) dEUS, those two concerts were fabulous, and at the time, I wasn’t expecting this release.

All chaos and absurdity and celebration and being absolutely done with the patriarchy and above all else fun. So much fun. ↩︎

Aburrimiento sexual: un problema que afecta a más del 80% de las parejas
¿Qué hacer para apagar el piloto automático y redescubrir lo que realmente enciende la relación?
Actualmente, hombres y mujeres enfrentan una vida en la que tener tiempo para sí mismos se ha convertido en un lujo. La hiperconectividad, el estrés cotidiano, las responsabilidades familiares y las rutinas laborales exigentes, entre otros aspectos, han provocado no sólo una desconexión personal, sino también de pareja dando paso a que, de manera silenciosa, la monotonía se instale en su intimidad.
Estudios internacionales confirman que 1 de cada 4 personas experimentan una disminución del deseo sexual, principalmente en relaciones largas. (B. Traeen et al.,2007), (T. Hällström et al., 1990). Un dato interesante es que la satisfacción sexual, que suele ser alta durante los primeros meses en un 83%, desciende hasta el 20% a partir del tercer año (Frederick et al.,2016).
La disminución del deseo sexual afecta a ambos géneros; pero en términos binarios, las mujeres se ven más afectadas que los hombres (De Oliveira, et al., 2023) debido a una combinación de factores biológicos, hormonales, psicológicos, sociales e incluso relacionales.
Al inicio de una relación, el deseo sexual suele fluir de manera totalmente espontánea entre otras cosas por la curiosidad, la novedad y la atracción que alimentan el llamado “deseo reactivo”, que no es más que una respuesta natural al estímulo de la pareja. Sin embargo, el impuso inicial tiende a disminuir con el paso del tiempo si no se cultiva activamente y puede convertirse en algo monótono. (S.H. Murray et al., 2017).
Apagar el piloto automático y mantener viva la flama de la relación implica una conexión emocional y encuentros emocionantes. 🔆Hay personas que hablan como si el fracaso fuera una cita que ya tienen apuntada en el calendario.
Te sueltan el "debería", el "quizá" o el famoso "algún día"... palabras que, si te fijas, solo sirven para poner distancia entre lo que quieren y lo que hacen.
Son como un escudo para no mojarse del todo.El problema es que cuando dices "lo intentaré", ya estás dejando la puerta entreabierta para que se cuele la derrota.
Es como si te estuvieras dando permiso para fallar antes de empezar.
Prueba a cambiar el verbo y verás cómo te cambia hasta la postura: no es "lo intentaré", es "lo voy a hacer".
Punto.Al final, el lenguaje no solo sirve para describir lo que te pasa; en realidad, construye tu realidad.
Cada palabra que eliges es como un voto silencioso por esa persona en la que has decidido convertirte.
Así que fíjate bien en qué te dices, porque te lo acabas creyendo.···✦···✦···✦···

Para mi, el reservarme este tiempo para poder centrarme solo en una cosa es terapéutico.
Hasta lo he hablado con mi psicóloga y me ha dicho que es algo similar a la meditación: Al forzarte a centrarte en una única tarea silencias (o amortiguas) el resto de pensamientos... y eso ayuda a que tu mente esté más despejada.
En el día a día tienes decenas de pensamientos, todos compitiendo por tu atención, con diferentes grados de prioridad. Si puedes reservarte un tiempo en el que puedas amortiguar todo ese ruido le estás dando un descanso a tu mente.
Repito: a mi esto me funciona. Esta aproximación tiene sentido para mi. Tal vez para vosotros no, pero si es así espero que podáis reservaros ese tiempo de forma periódica.
