  1. @Steffi Not cheap I'm afraid, but I think Carradice are the best. Will handle Welsh rain. All of my family members use them. I even wear mine just when I want to be REALLY visible (London!).

  2. Look what she makes me wear!

And just because she doesn't want to use that much time to dry me.

I f-king hate it! I don't want to wear anything! I have an inherent coat, that's enough!

  3. Not sure what she's less impressed with: the workers across the back alley building a garage, the rain or the raincoat.

  4. Before synthetic materials, those traveling or working outside in the rain would wear mino (蓑), rain coats made of straw.

Traditional mino covered the entire body, but straw capes and skirts were also used. Cheap, light and readily available, rice straw is mostly water repellant.

  5. @Nimgimli @Tipa First day of school for my kids and they are both walkers and the rain is going unload right as they get out. #umbrella and #raincoat

  6. Some more pictures from Fridays fun ^_^

Was hoping to do some causual pics today, but my hada has other ideas. So enjoy these!

  7. A whole house to myself, with not a drop of rain on the radar! Most people plans get ruined by rain, for me it's the opposite ^_^

Was hot enough in all these PVC layers!

  8. Having worn this in the rain I have made the following observations and plans:

    Problem:
Cape inflates like a bouncy castle. Small air holes in the neck seam allow air to come in and it can't get out. Especially when wet and hood is up.

Solution: create holes for air to escape. 4 or 5 button-holes or eyelets through only the inside layer?

    Problem:
Cape flaps up especially from the back. Not how I expected.

    Solution:
Attach front and back with a strap under the arm.
