Remember Joe Simpson from “Touching the Void”? The guy with two broken legs crawling between crevasses. It was here, on Siula Grande, the steep summit slightly to the left. Hard to stand in front of these mountains without thinking of that story.

Dopo un altro periodo con bassi (un grave lutto ahimè 😭) ed alti (un bimbo in arrivo a gennaio 😁) che mi ha portato lontano dai sentieri di montagna per addentrarmi di più in quelli della vita, è giunto finalmente il momento di riprendere in mano le cartine, leggere le isoipse ed il territorio per preparare una escursione.
Dato il periodo sarò in cammino da solo, ma forse forse, dopo tutti questi cambiamenti, non è una cosa cattiva. In fondo, cosa c'è di meglio del passare del tempo a riflettere, immerso nella natura, arrivando fino alla cima di Monte di Stagno?
Ci si vede sulla cima se sarete nei paraggi domani, camminatori!

At the pass, looking back at those turquoise lakes is incredible. What a view. Even with high fever, I felt incredibly lucky to be there. This stage is probably the easiest of the alpine loop.

Grandioses Erlebnis! Wir sind gefühlt stundenlang über die Betonränder von Wassergräben balanciert, im Matsch herumgeschlittert, haben spontan bei der Maisernte geholfen, haben zusammen gekocht und gemeinsam gegessen, in ihrem Haus übernachtet, ein Kräuterbad genommen...
