A haori is a light jacket worn over a kimono. Originally, it was worn only by men, but women began wearing it during the Meiji period (1868–1912), and it became common in the Taisho period (1912–1926).

The swirling effect of the print on this vintage, Japanese, silk haori kimono jacket is just wonderful. Worn here with a belt and Western world clothing. Also looks great worn with the fronts closed or with no belt at all.
