A #Meander is a series of curves in a river or other body of water that form a winding, snake-like path.
Meanders are created by erosion and deposition processes that occur when a river erodes the outside bank of a river channel and deposits sediment on the inside bank.

The usually interesting Paul Graham has written a longgg piece (I guess c. 8k-10k words) which meanders a bit; it is a bit unstructured, and is a gathering of thoughts around getting ‘great work done’. However - that’s the point: it’s a really interesting and worthwhile read, with lots of nuggets of wisdom throughout. The journey is the point!

Dzisiaj skromnie, gdyż przyznaję, że w ostatnich dwóch tygodniach mało słyszałem rzeczy, które rzeczywiście mogę polecić.
1. Millie Manders and the Shutup, album "Wake up, shut up, work" - zaczynamy od zespołu, który nie gra w "moich" klimatach (ska), ale jakiś czas temu został mi polecony tutaj, na Mastodonie i nie powiem, fajne to. Ta płyta ma lepsze (szybsze) i gorsze (wolniejsze) momenty, ale ogółem dobrze się przy niej bawiłem. Mam wrażenie, że środkowe utwory mocno obniża ocenę tego albumu.
2. Agabas - a to ciekawe. Miałem już do czynienia z deathjazzem (w postaci zespołu The Shining), ale tutaj mamy do czynienia nie z eksperymentalną muzyką, tylko po prostu czymś utrzymanym w mniej więcej stałym stylu, który - co prawda - nudzi się po jakimś czasie, ale zanim to zrobi, to ciekawi. Gdy tylko uchwycimy death metal, wchodzi saksofon. Gdy oswoimy się z saksofonem, wchodzi growl. Nieczęste połączenie i pewnie dlatego zwróciłem na nie uwagę, choć przyznam, że po jakimś czasie wszystko zaczęło zlewać mi się w jedną melodię.
3. Negator, album "Lvx Haeresis" - bardzo mocno słychać tutaj język niemiecki, nawet za mocno jak na mój gust (jeśli chodzi o brzmienie), natomiast muzycznie to robi robotę. A przy drugim utworze zacząłem myśleć, że zaczynam słuchać zespołu Blackbraid (zwłaszcza, że był kolejny na playliście). To ostatnie wydawnictwo tego zespołu i choć nie zawojował mojego serca, to gdzieś tam zwrócił uwagę.

Horseshoe Bend is a breathtaking natural wonder located in northern #Arizona, USA. The Colorado River as it meanders has carved out this horseshoe shaped curve in the sandstone creating a breathtaking view from above and below.
