Happy Saturday, friends. Got a relatively early start to the day, taking Kid3 to work and getting to the markets just after it opened. I didn't need a lot, but I got eggs and some rhubarb and pumpkin. I'll turn the rhubarb into some muffins or a crumble for band supper, and I'll roast the pumpkin with some other vegies and make soup tomorrow.
It's a gorgeous day and apart from some kid related obligations, the day is free. I'm cleaning up the kitchen and hanging out some washing and then I hope to spend an hour or two in the garden. Maybe more than an hour or two but we'll see how long my energy lasts!
Tomorrow marks the end of my little holiday from work, and it's been really great – we ate out a couple of times, had a picnic and took a drive to another town (Denmark) where they have not one but two chocolatiers, so of course we had to compare the two. Verdict: they're both excellent, glad we could support these important small businesses 😁
Ooh! Also, I am going to try growing luffas. I wasn't sure the growing season would be long enough but a friend reassures me he's grown them a few times. Need to order seeds – I have just the spot for them
