  1. The shop is back open, and I'm starting with something new.

River Bed is a blend of stormy blue-grey and earthy brown, shifting between the two depending on the light. It looks like the bottom of a slow-moving river, the kind where the water is clear but you can see the stones underneath.

Available now in all fabrics. Lugana dyes significantly lighter, expect a softer, mistier version of the colorway.

  4. Yesterday we explored and hiked a few kilometers in one of the many semi-dry, karsty river beds in the Ammergau Alps. Already so much life & colors again... Partially felt like walking through a microclimate tundra zone. Chamois cress, Oxlip and Winter Heath in full bloom...

Also finally confirmed that after 14 years my old Sigma 18-200mm lens has some serious mechanical defect and doesn't produce any clear focus anymore (😭), so only had the macro lens and phone...

  9. In case you didn't click on the #iNaturalist link for the grand reveal, this is what the cryptic fluff ball was.

It's a karoro/NZ black-backed gull chick. Whenever we'd pass close by, it would go into camouflaged fluff ball mode at the base of a plant. It was really difficult to see.
