  1. "Since the beginning of world-wide #campusProtests in the wake of October 7, 2023, there has been a tremendous upswell of organizing and support for #PalestinianLiberation and #activism against #USmilitarism. In response, a wave of #repression against students, staff and faculty on campus began in 2023 and accelerated after Donald Trump took office."

  2. There are already 66 cases (what a number!) in Russian courts against Satanism practitioners. Last year Putin's regime decided to cosplay inquisition and implemented a restriction on Satanism. Regime tried to restrict occultism the same way, but main lobbyist of this - Orthodox church decided that Satanism was enough for the time being. After that a bunch of penalty fees and even one imprisonment against people were issued by the state for such things as stars and tarot cards in Russian social networks. Most stupid case was against the owner of a bakery, who had baked cakes with stars in a circle on them.
I remind you all comrades - that if you think that right-wing regime wont dare to return to inquisition practices or to satanic panic again - you are clearly mistaken. Just look what is happening in a country that lives under fascist regime for 26 years - and that is Russia. There is no bottom in this.

They claim to have cracked the code on how AI models are secretly dumbed down over time, as if these updates are the Matrix's biggest scandal. 🤷‍♂️ Meanwhile, the rest of us are just trying to get Siri to understand our voice commands. 🔍📉

  12. A quotation from Shaw

All censorships exist to prevent any one from challenging current conceptions and existing institutions. All progress is initiated by challenging current conceptions, and executed by supplanting existing institutions. Consequently the first condition of progress is the removal of censorships.

  27. More on the FCC's proposal to require ID for phone service. Looks like we might get a break and be able to keep data-only service. That means no voice phone service, maybe only no outgoing voice phone service. It is trival to set the network to allow these SIMs to be used in phones, and if not, a portable wifi hotspot used as your only internet connection can be less than half the size of your phone

Here's probably the most relevent text:
    "
    Federal Communications Commission (.gov)docs.fcc.gov › public › attachments › FCC-26-27A1.pdf
    Federal Communications Commission FCC 26-27

May 1, 2026 ... The KYC measures we discuss apply only to originating voice service providers (“originating providers”). 2 See 47 CFR § 64.1200(n)(4). In ...
    "

This implies that a provider who does not offer voice phone at all could legally sell no-ID SIM cards for data-only service. Example: if Wal-Mart wants to sell data-only wifi hotspots (keep selling their cellular "home internet" devices) without dealing with ID, all they have to do is split their Verizon reseller "straight talk" into "straight talk" and "straight data" with the latter not requiring ID but also not offering voice calling.
