  1. I'm looking for some new to read , I've almost finished Gideon Falls and have read many of his, as I find him extremely good, so I need some help finding simaler style writing, and drawing. Not Marvel type comics, as they never really 'end', I admit I also like Dr Who comics, but I think that shows my age a little 🤪

  2. My latest purchase pro tyres for my gravel bike. The critiques are very good.

Will give me an excuse to go riding tomorrow, and test them, especially as it should be a nice day. It'll make a change from MTB or road riding, as I haven't been on the gravel for a while now

Update, these tyres are good, dry hard packed, really very good, on the roads they're good as well

  3. Today was a good day. 💪

Working out at the gym. For an old man I find it's not to bad 🤣

  4. @GRA3432
Hi, i have just stopped using WP after about ten years for the same reason as you stated, is easy to use, just write and post. No add-ons No extras.
If this helps check out my home page here

  5. After receiving all this yesterday, I've just built my first Meshtastic device. With a T114 v4 board. Sadly, where I live out in the sticks, there's nobody else using or not yet anyway.
But it was fun to build. Will add a node at home soon, as the next step

  6. @viq @homeassistant
I have a 400s, it works fine in HA and dispo in Europe

  7. If you use Favero Assioma power pedals with a Garmin bike computer or watch, connect the pedals via ANT+ only. This ensures you get full Cycling Dynamics in Garmin Connect. Don’t connect them by Bluetooth & don’t connect them using both BT & ANT+ , otherwise Cycling Dynamics won’t show up. +

  8. Although still running fine.,
I've decided to retire my two Western Digital HDDs that are ten years old and I use for my backups.
I have just ordered two to replace them.
Even though they are still HDDs I reckon they should be slightly faster and probably safer then the Black Caviars

  9. I went for a yesterday, okay I don't really run much but I was really slow 😰. I've since realised that I plod rather than run.

A quick post about it on

  10. New to , started reading them this year, better late than never I suppose.

Don't really appreciate or style comics, though I love the films.

So I mainly reading comics with a 'real' story line

Just received two more this morning, I'm starting to have quite a few in my collection.

Going to have a nice quiet afternoon reading 😎

  11. I recently came across

I've been using for years now, over the years it's become a heavy dinosaur of a site. Writing on it is no longer fun.

Coming across Pagecord & checking it out I realised that it was perfect for what I needed

Easy to use : Write, add some Bold or Italics and a Link to other sites, basically that's it

I've now decided to pay the 29$ yearly pro version. Olly Headey the site creator deserves the money for the work he's done.

    deafbutnotdead.pagecord.com/

  12. Today I wrote two posts using Pagecord

This one as actually done using my email app so that's actually rather cool

  13. I finally caved in and brought some power meter pedals for my bike Assioma Pro MX-2

I already have a power meter crank on my road bike as I like keeping tabs on my power readings, even if at my age it's not really important

The are as good as I had read about, easy to set up, as good as my pedals that I normally use. I love the stats that I have in Garmin

This was my first ride with them, after a two month break. So slow & easy

  14. @eclecticpassions
Hi here's another question concerning what is the black vertical line that's on all my ReText documents ?

  15. @eclecticpassions I use that has now replaced just for taking notes, I don't program or anything like that.

Lately I have installed on a another PC to run , , for example.

So I take notes, lots of them ...
On the left panel are the notes, plus the Inline code (coloured red) to format the part that needs copying on the right, strangely I need to do Inline codes twice or four 'AltGr 7 (backticks) ' for the the formatting to work.

  16. @RezaHoss can't get it to sync to Nextcloud, even using a app password, just have a message 'something went wrong'

  17. @dumbergerl I switched from to , first their free version and then switched to the paying version as needed more than four addresses, works perfectly and use it with the IP update client running in the background, Perfect 👍

  18. This weekend I managed to get up and running with https access. I also managed to get and running on scale but is impossible, just impossible to get it to run and I need it. A real pain. So I reckon it's time to go back to and do a headless setup running for the data. Truenas looks nice but has very little, often nothing or that's up to date to help with it. Debian just works and there is always up to date help if need be.

  19. Second session this morning, similar to that I do regularly, but boy does it work my cardio. I love it. Keeping fit even though I'm getting on a bit

  20. The nice thing about Sidi MTB or Gravel shoes (although I also use them in my Road Bike) all bikes with pedals is that you can change the Crampons when they're worn. Sidi Tigers, though I also have Sidi Dragons
    Posted using 👍

  21. When your Sram Cranks decide that there getting old on your and break while out riding

After almost 11 years of use I can't complain I suppose.

Luckily I managed to find and buy a new, though old, same model, so cheap. 😁 Bought and fitted in under an hour 👍

  22. Anyone have Bseed Zigbee touch switch that works with an LED bulb ? with the Led bulb it stays very slightly on (ghost imaging apparently) even when switched of.
Using a normal bulb it turns off perfectly,
Apparently I might need to add capacitor, but am unsure about that

  23. When you pop out for a soft ride, just to say hello to a friend, mostly in the rain as well, and Strava gives you some nice PRs and best Power readings 😁😁 it makes for a good afternoon 👍

  24. My brand new Girs Solo bike (a French top of the range road bike manufacturer) came with Sram eTap AXS gears which I must admit are pretty neat, slick and work extremely well

And I can even pair it to my old Garmin Edge 530 bike computer, do I need to see what gear I'm in or using? No but it's pretty neat

  25. Am I right in thinking that using is slightly safer than
    https:1234tailscale.mynextcloud
    https:1244duckdns.mynextcloud
Because with tailscale I don't need to open the 443 port.
Both have the ssl certificates, so the only difference is the port being configured open on my router for duckdns to run

  26. For the fourth year in a row. I've managed to do more than 365 hours of .
    Though only just 🤣.
Mostly this or rather last year.
Less or which was a shame. Some and but again not enough.
Let's hope I can do better in 2024
    Need to beat 2023 💪

  27. vinyl picture disc framed. This one is special as they were recalled when first came out, as the music was not Genesis. Pressing error. Never listened to it so don't know what's actually pressed on it

  28. I must admit I'm pleased with myself. I have just managed to top 365 hours of sport done and still have fourteen days left until the end of the year.
    Mostly

In a week's time I'll be 66 and next year plan to do the same

  29. Winter is coming, a lot of wind and rain outside. So time to get the on the in the garage. Not a pretty setup, but it works, and with an old screen in front, watching an episode of The wheel of time. A good way to spend an hour keeping fit

  30. Today was a good day. 😁
I finally managed to get to copy to my (after adding to the settings : Client_Id and Client_secret keys to my config). Then wrote a file to run that automatically, via a that I wrote. Being pleased with all that. Went 10 kms in the rain ☔ as yesterday's 9 kms wasn't enough all in one day 🤣🤣

  31. Second ride in two days. Exactly the same as yesterday. But rather than 15.1 km/h managed 16.4 km/h average speed. Still to slow in my opinion. But age is catching up on me... 🤣 Taureg mountain bike.

  32. New toys for tomorrow, and as it's still sunny and warm, will get out and try them (the old XTR's were bought it 2016)

  33. Changed the back tyre on my Taureg Ti
Put back on a Maxxis Icon as the ground here in France is so dry.
At least when I ride tomorrow I won't have to 'haul' my bike around, and maybe I'll be able to up my speed a little 😁

  34. Managed to get on my Taureg Ti three times this week. So that was good. Only small easy rides, 93 kms total, but it keeps the legs turning. Next week back to some . Change the sport, don't let your body get complacent doing the same thing all the time.

  35. Yesterday was Gym day. Today was riding. Hadn't managed to get on my Taureg Ti MTB for months, as I'd been road and gravel riding, do a little slower than usual. But as always MTB is the best biking to be done. Of course no for me, just my own legs doing all the work. A great day and with the sun shining as well.

  36. My first power plug just arrived, exactly the same as my 'WiFi only versions' except now ZigBee.
Connected to in seconds via the dongle.
Bought from , delivered to France in five days and less than half the price here in France . CE certification

  37. Running on my 2gb with was so so slow as the browser plus HA ran out of memory. So scrapped the Pi, bought a reconditioned Lenovo Tiny M93p PC from Amazon, wiped the Windows, installed Debian and now it's far better. It's roughly three times the size of the Pi, so that's OK as still small.

  38. Trouvé ce matin chez LIDL en France, 4.99€ en promo

At LIDL here in France ZigBee Spots at only 4.99€

  39. Let's hope that soon we'll be able to buy some 8 gigs at normal prices. 'cause my pi 4b with only 2 gigs is oh so slow running bullseye, with .
    Just not enough ram 😭

  40. Bullseye installed kernel version 5.10.0-23-arm64
    installed kernel version 6.2.10-1-aarch-64-ARCH

Le Debian kernel version is prehistoric 😩

  41. Have now got Debian Bullseye 64 setup on my running just nicely.
Also have done a SD Flash with 64 (which I prefer), installed it using terminal line by line, and got that working just fine as a test system.
Using the setup though as couldn't get usb dongle, to install on Arch. Sadly all is done for them to run on Debian. 😢 Been a busy couple of days 😁

  42. Managed to get my Tuya account and objects working with Home Assistant, now that's not an easy thing to do, rather complicate actually 🤔😢

Home assistant looks good, but boy can it be complicated 😢

  43. Murph done today unpartitioned ( I'm not going to cheat and make it easier) . 56 minutes.
Eight minutes faster than in 2016. Didn't do it weighed, too old for that now. As I'm 65.
    Today was a good day
    1 mile run
    100 pull-ups
    200 pushups
    300 air squats
    1 mile run

  44. My first device added to#HomeAssitant
Easy add on even if HA is over complicated
Running HA on a Debian Buster setup (sadly as I don't like Debian) on a so far so good

  45. Finally seemed to have got Home Assistant supervisor working correctly with a Sonoff usb dongle, ZigBeeMQTT on a Debian Buster setup on my Raspberry Pi. It was not easy

  46. Adding free maps to QMapShack
Adding free maps to QMapShack : I've been using QMapShack for a couple of years now. Ever since Basecamp was discontinued by Garmin

QMapShack is a great open source and free program although it can be a little daunting setting it up and using it

Flashing stock Android on a Lineage phone using Linux : I've been running a Pixel 3 with Lineage 19 for the last couple of years now. But I needed to re-flash it back to stock Android in order to sell it.

  48. just updated the firmware (December 8) on my outdoor cams and base station. Over 400 kms from them. All worked perfectly
