Aplikacja #Notes na Androida do edycji notatek z #Nextcloud Notes nie zapisywała mi notatek na serwerze...
Rzadko z niej korzystałem, ale zauważyłem już wcześniej problemy z synchronizacją, a także zaczęła z jakiegoś powodu ładować interfejs webowy do edycji notatek.
Zainstalowałem więc #Quillpad i wygląda o wiele lepiej, synchronizacja też na razie działa

Nur zwei Sachen sind schade:
1.) Wenn ich eine Notiz aufrufe und in den Text drücke, komme ich nicht automatisch in den Bearbeitungsmodus sondern bleibe im Lesemodus. Erst wenn ich den "bearbeiten"- Button drücke, erscheint der Cursor.
2.) Jedoch erscheint er immer am unteren Ende der Notiz.

Bei Google war ich gewohnt einfach oben in der Text zu drücken und drauf los zu tippen. So hatte ich bei einigen Notizen immer die neuesten Eingabe ganz oben stehen. Das war einfach super. #quillpad

Ich nutze die App jetzt seit ein paar Wochen und bin beinahe glücklich damit.

Eine der Sachen, die ich woanders vermisst habe war zum Beispiel, dass bei Checklisten die abgehakten Einträge nach unten rutschen. Das scheint nicht Standard zu sein. 🤷

Irgend etwas Zweites hatte ich bei anderen Apps auch vermisst, habe aber schon wieder vergessen, was. 😄

2.) aber cool ist und
3.) sich mit meiner nextcloud synchronisiert.
Das war nicht einfach, Leute. Die Apps von #Fossify, #Nextcloud, usw. haben mich aus verschiedenen Gründen nicht zufrieden gestellt. Ich weiß nicht mehr, was ich alles probiert habe, aber bei #Quillpad könnte ich meine neue Heimat gefunden haben... 1/x

@iam_jfnklstrm I use Nextcloud Notes as backend. It uses markdown files in a directory. Nextcloud notes has a web editor, but you can just use a markdown editor on desktop. I like ghostwriter, but you can also use vscodium + plugins.

On Android I use Nextcloud Notes or Quillpad.

If you don't want to do a full Nextcloud install, before my current setup I used Obsidian with Syncthing for the syncing. Before that, I used Joplin.

I thought @joplinapp was "neat for privacy, but middling UX" on mobile, then I installed the Desktop version. So good! Super responsive cross-device private notes on all my devices :D

I guess the thing about ARM CPUs is they don't do cryptography real fast...

I still crave the cleaner UX of something like #QuillPad (#Quillnote fork) for "in the field" list completion (like grocery lists), but #Joplin is pretty close to that. The gap is just a little UI polish & some view mode to 'hide away the markdown'.

And now all my notes are on #NextCloud yay

So we've widdled down this #app #showdown between #Markdown #editors for #Android.

In the end I'm prioritizing ease of use, design and aesthetics. But you can't ignore what's pragmatic. Between #QuillPad and #OpenNote, I'd want QuillPad - but I need Open Note.

QuillPad has tags, which is a nice to have - but not really all that important to me.

In the end Open Note wins out, because of its info screen that counts words used - but also, the document outline.

For now, I think this is it.

Sweet heavens #Quillpad looks good when I make it not only follow system color mode, but it can also follow the system color scheme - which is a fairly new feature of #Android.

Again, if the developers are reading this, I would LOVE a character counter.

You could put one for the entire document at the bottom, in the footer with the date and time.

If the user could then select text and that could be shown somewhere, then this would be the ticket.

It's so far a symbolic runner up.

#quillpad also comes with #NextCloud integration out of the box - which is great.

@jpaskaruk Try #quillpad. It's essentially an open source Google Notes clone, and has experimental support of syncing with Nextcloud.

I used to use #Carnet with my #NextCloud instance, which is not maintained anymore and there are a lot of annoying issues with it right now. So I tried #Quillpad and it seems the NextCloud integration is broken. Does anyone know a simple quick note style app which works with NextCloud or at least WebDav?
