  6. My latest purchase pro tyres for my gravel bike. The critiques are very good.

Will give me an excuse to go riding tomorrow, and test them, especially as it should be a nice day. It'll make a change from MTB or road riding, as I haven't been on the gravel for a while now

Update, these tyres are good, dry hard packed, really very good, on the roads they're good as well

  7. Although still running fine.,
I've decided to retire my two Western Digital HDDs that are ten years old and I use for my backups.
I have just ordered two to replace them.
Even though they are still HDDs I reckon they should be slightly faster and probably safer then the Black Caviars

  8. When your Sram Cranks decide that there getting old on your and break while out riding

After almost 11 years of use I can't complain I suppose.

Luckily I managed to find and buy a new, though old, same model, so cheap. 😁 Bought and fitted in under an hour 👍

  9. @eclecticpassions
Hi here's another question concerning what is the black vertical line that's on all my ReText documents ?

  10. @eclecticpassions I use that has now replaced just for taking notes, I don't program or anything like that.

Lately I have installed on a another PC to run , , for example.

So I take notes, lots of them ...
On the left panel are the notes, plus the Inline code (coloured red) to format the part that needs copying on the right, strangely I need to do Inline codes twice or four 'AltGr 7 (backticks) ' for the the formatting to work.

  11. When you pop out for a soft ride, just to say hello to a friend, mostly in the rain as well, and Strava gives you some nice PRs and best Power readings 😁😁 it makes for a good afternoon 👍

  12. Today was a good day. 😁
I finally managed to get to copy to my (after adding to the settings : Client_Id and Client_secret keys to my config). Then wrote a file to run that automatically, via a that I wrote. Being pleased with all that. Went 10 kms in the rain ☔ as yesterday's 9 kms wasn't enough all in one day 🤣🤣

  13. After receiving all this yesterday, I've just built my first Meshtastic device. With a T114 v4 board. Sadly, where I live out in the sticks, there's nobody else using or not yet anyway.
But it was fun to build. Will add a node at home soon, as the next step

  14. vinyl picture disc framed. This one is special as they were recalled when first came out, as the music was not Genesis. Pressing error. Never listened to it so don't know what's actually pressed on it

  15. I changed my Tuareg tires today.
Trying to get ready for some winter riding. A new Forkaster up front and a old Nobby Nic that I've never used at the back. Now just need to find the courage to get outside, as it's already horrible wet and windy weather. That's another matter - mountain bike riding 😁

  16. Today was a good day. 💪

Working out at the gym. For an old man I find it's not to bad 🤣

  17. Second ride in two days. Exactly the same as yesterday. But rather than 15.1 km/h managed 16.4 km/h average speed. Still to slow in my opinion. But age is catching up on me... 🤣 Taureg mountain bike.

  18. @dumbergerl I switched from to , first their free version and then switched to the paying version as needed more than four addresses, works perfectly and use it with the IP update client running in the background, Perfect 👍

  19. Anyone have Bseed Zigbee touch switch that works with an LED bulb ? with the Led bulb it stays very slightly on (ghost imaging apparently) even when switched of.
Using a normal bulb it turns off perfectly,
Apparently I might need to add capacitor, but am unsure about that

  20. For the fourth year in a row. I've managed to do more than 365 hours of .
    Though only just 🤣.
Mostly this or rather last year.
Less or which was a shame. Some and but again not enough.
Let's hope I can do better in 2024
    Need to beat 2023 💪

  21. Am I right in thinking that using is slightly safer than
    https:1234tailscale.mynextcloud
    https:1244duckdns.mynextcloud
Because with tailscale I don't need to open the 443 port.
Both have the ssl certificates, so the only difference is the port being configured open on my router for duckdns to run

  22. Let's hope that soon we'll be able to buy some 8 gigs at normal prices. 'cause my pi 4b with only 2 gigs is oh so slow running bullseye, with .
    Just not enough ram 😭

  23. Bullseye installed kernel version 5.10.0-23-arm64
    installed kernel version 6.2.10-1-aarch-64-ARCH

Le Debian kernel version is prehistoric 😩

  24. Have now got Debian Bullseye 64 setup on my running just nicely.
Also have done a SD Flash with 64 (which I prefer), installed it using terminal line by line, and got that working just fine as a test system.
Using the setup though as couldn't get usb dongle, to install on Arch. Sadly all is done for them to run on Debian. 😢 Been a busy couple of days 😁

  25. My first device added to#HomeAssitant
Easy add on even if HA is over complicated
Running HA on a Debian Buster setup (sadly as I don't like Debian) on a so far so good
