W końcu pojawiła się zapowiadana już dawno temu oficjalna aplikacja zabawy Squadrats, polegającej na zbieraniu kwadratów na mapie podczas jeżdżenia rowerem*, nie trzeba więc będzie dalej korzystać ze strony Skwadratów zainstalowanej jako PWA.
Największą nowością jest wprowadzenie przy tej okazji płatnego planu PRO, który daje kilka dodatkowych korzyści:
- obserwacja na żywo zdobywanych squadrats i squadratinhos na mapie w apce
- śledzenie swoich postępów w różnych regionach (np. województwach)
- możliwość sprawdzenia swojej pozycji w regionalnych rankingachCena PRO to 99 złotych na rok, jest też 14-dniowy okres próbny.
Aplikacja pozwala też na rejestrowanie aktywności, które jest dostępne też w planie darmowym, jeżeli nie przekroczyliśmy 2048 squadratinhos.
Apka dostępna jest dla Androida** oraz iOS***
Dla mnie najważniejszą zmianą jest dodanie importu z Ride with GPS. W połączeniu z faktem, że mój nowy komputerek rowerowy może wysyłać rejestrowane aktywności bezpośrednio do RwGPS , oznacza, że w końcu nie potrzebuję konta na Stravie, której używałem tylko jako pośrednika w przerzucaniu danych.
Dopiero opisując zrzut ekranu zauważyłem, że jest też możliwość importu z Coros, więc nie potrzebowałbym nawet Ride with GPS, ale przecież nie porzucę najlepszego narzędzia do planowania jazd rowerowych :)
Poza tym można teraz importować aktywności z Garmina, Wahoo, Suunto oraz MapMyFitness.

Pozycja lotniskowca ujawniona, bo francuski żołnierz nie wyłączył zegarka podczas biegania…
Mamy kolejny incydent z aplikacją Strava, która służy do trackingu aktywności sportowych. Tym razem wpadkę zaliczyli nie Amerykanie a Francuzi z lotniskowca “Charles de Gaulle”:
Ale zanim zaczniecie pisać “jakież to było nieodpowiedzialne i groźne zachowanie!“, warto zwrócić uwagę, że lotniskowce to nie okręty podwodne i do najmniejszych nie należą. Innymi słowy: łatwo można je zlokalizować za pomocą zdjęć satelitarnych (także tych dostępnych dla cywili) jak również odpowiednich serwisów pokazujących ruchy jednostek wodnych (o ile nie wyłączą AIS):
Żołnierzu, dbaj o OPSEC!
Tym niemniej, jeśli jest się żołnierzem, to nie powinno się korzystać z aplikacji, które posyłają lokalizację w świat, nawet na lotniskowcu nadającym swoją pozycję. Bo jeszcze wejdzie to komuś w krew i nieszczęście gotowe — tego typu sygnały mogą być powodem bombardowanka ze strony wroga.

Zresztą ryzykiem jest nie tylko ostrzelanie. Strava ujawnia informacje na temat użytkownika, więc można na tej podstawie określić kto konkretnie bierze udziałw danej misji. I gdzie biegał wcześniej oraz gdzie mieszka. A to otwiera szereg nowych możliwości ze strony wroga, nie mniej spektakularnych niż uderzenia kinetyczne.
Ten akurat incydent może być ciekawym zadaniem z fizyki dla licealistów. Znając prędkość statku, oceń czas w jakim żołnierz przebiegł pełne okrążenie.
Każdy powinien znać zagrożenia dla prywatności
W dzisiejszym świecie przypadkiem można ujawnić nie tylko swoją lokalizację. I nie tylko na smartwatche i aplikacje do biegania trzeba uważać. Co jeszcze stanowi zagrożenie dla naszej prywatności? It's a nice route, mostly quiet (there were a couple of km of quite busy roads, not bad out of 109!)
Mostly overcast and a bit chilly, but dry.
That's March's #strava #GranFondo challenge in the bag!

Online communities matter. I've always been a bit of a hermit in real life, but being part of online communities makes me feel more complete, even though I rarely meet anyone in person.
I use Zwift to run virtually when the weather is bad or I just don't feel like going outside. I rarely chat while running, but this time I ran with some pro athletes again, and the team leader wanted to send greetings to a buddy fighting cancer. I sent her some Finnish SISU.
Seeing those constant support messages appear right at the 10-minute mark (he asked us to send them all at once for a photo) got me emotional. Such a unique, sweaty run.
