@rafacampoamor Tu tráfico no pasa por sus servidores casi nunca. Sus servidores son coordinadores de conexiones de tus máquinas. Una vez se establece la conexión entre dos máquinas el tráfico es directo entre ellas salvo en determinados casos. Si tampoco quieres usar sus servidores de coordinación puedes usar #HeadScale como solución autolajada que hace lo mismo totalmente #Free y #OpenSource y que la propia gente de #TailScale apoya

Remember when I said my DR setup should have me back up in 20-30 minutes? Yeah. About that. Turns out a backup job can run clean every single night for months and still not actually be backing up what you think it is. So here's what I actually found out the hard way replacing nixos2's dying hardware. Feel free to cue the old "The more you know" clip.

@outofcontrol Also, if you deal with multiple organizations that use #Tailscale , it is a breeze. If your two or more organizations use differing VPN technologies, it can be a PITA.

Example. I use tailscale for my #selfhosting. My church also uses tailscale for their VPN needs. With both of us being on tailscale, I just add an ACL to allow in my personal tailscale account to access my church and I can access either organizations machines at the same time.

I’m confused: why use Tailscale to access the home network when you can just use a VPN on your pfsense or what have you? Currently using IKEv2 with a certificate and username password. Works great! Change my mind?

i want to try doing #OpenWRT #extroot kind of thing but with #nfs . since my #router doesn't have usb slot and its flash is 8mb.

I am thinking about putting NFS mounting after core services are up and network is somewhat operational to not have cascading network failures stemming from vps being down or chiken and egg problem with local nfs share not being able to connect to it.

like i currently want it for running #tailscale subnet router directly on router instead of running it on another device with static route on the router.

also i kinda want to try running actual #mulvadvpn cli client instead of wireguard profies to be able to use #DAITA and anti censorship features. tho i am not sure how mulvads #nftables rules would interact with openwrt firewall which uses nftables under the hood.
