All of it is stored in a Dropbox folder and I use tools like Dropsync to keep the collection sync'ed on my own Jellyfin music server and Android phone running doubleTwist.
It's been great building out my own collection and (private) streaming service.

So, today I found out that #Jellyfin stores its playlists in a really simple .xml format in the folder /config/data/playlists.
And if you just replace all the XML-y garbage with nothing, replace some encoded special characters (like "&") with their plaintext counterparts (in this case, "&"), prefix it with a M3U header and save it with the right file extension, you got yourself a perfectly cromulant M3U playlist.
No vibecoded playlist exporter necessary. Just find, replace and paste.

Terminating #TLS in front of #Jellyfin is such a mess. I’ve never had as hard a time to get web services working behind #HAProxy as in this case. My next attempt will be to deploy certificates to the Jellyfin VM and see if that helps. If so, my next #homelab improvement may well be an ACME compatible internal CA…

Question for all the other #selfhosting peeps: has anyone got any suggestions for setting up a #WAF in front of your services? Currently I’m relying on #haproxy on my #pfsense appliance, but a web application firewall would make me feel a bit safer.

I have rebuild some of the services on #Proxmox.
I have working:
- #HomeAssistant
- #HomeBridge
- #ADGuard
- #NginxProxyManager
- #Transmission
- #JellyfinI have also deployed some more, like #Seerr, #Radarr, #Sonarr, #Prowlarr - but they are yet to be fully configured.
A bit tricky to mount one network share across multiple containers, but managed to get along with systemd mount mechanism.
It’s now 3am… I guess it’s time to go to sleep…And yet, I’m watching #StarCraft replays…😅

Shit hit the fan a couple of days ago, when the #ingressnginx team announced that they're retiring the project. Ingress NGINX has been my #Kubernetes #ingress controller of choice since forever, and this came a quite a shock.
Right now, it looks like the #Traefik ingress controller is the most viable choice for an easy plug-in replacement. I'm giving it a test run on my home cluster, which is running all sorts of weird things that make up a good technical test. #Jellyfin seems like it's working well with WebSockets and all, and raw TCP to Mosquitto is working well too.
Obviously this is rather low traffic, but it looks like this could be a future replacement on the #Midgaard cluster running https://mstdn.dk - no matter what, staying on a burning ingress controller is not an option.
