    Aptivi Weekly Tech News Issue #18 (Week 40 – 10/3/2026)

    Every week, we collect every event that happened within Aptivi, our projects, and other interesting tech news. This issue shows you the brief summary of our project releases and some of our articles posted on the Aptivi Blog and on the Newsroom, as well as some links to other interesting resources, such as the most intriguing tech news during the week.

    As technology evolves quickly, we have to move quickly with the current to make sure that we don’t miss any of the interesting technology-related events, such as new releases and other interesting events that revolutionize the tech world.

    New Aptivi Project Releases

    During this week, we have released the following projects and/or new versions of our existing projects. This serves as a commitment into ensuring that our projects become more usable and reliable as we add bug fixes and other improvements. Additionally, those releases may have added new features for productivity.

      • [October 2nd, 2026] Terminaux v8.8.1
      • [October 2nd, 2026] Terminaux v8.8.1.1

    This is not the end, since we keep working on new versions of projects, even if there are no new releases of our projects made this week.

    What happened at Aptivi?

    During this week, sets of events have happened at Aptivi, and we have chosen to summarize some of the most intriguing events that we have covered here at Aptivi Blog and Aptivi Newsroom, as well as other Aptivi updates in case they happen.

    Samsung started rolling out One UI 9.0 to the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 phones, starting from Korea, to continue expanding the availability of the new software to more phones. Meanwhile, to make One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy S26 available for more users, Samsung has shut down the One UI 9.0 beta program and started the global rollout to millions of Galaxy users worldwide.

    Meanwhile, Samsung started development of One UI 9.5 for the Galaxy S26, which confirms that the second major upgrade is underway. We have also revealed the features that would be available for the Galaxy Buds On, which was previously referred to as the Galaxy Buds Able. Also, Samsung released the October 2026 security patch to the Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra, and Flip8.

    Canonical has opened the official upgrade path from 24.04 to 26.04.1 LTS for users to finally perform an upgrade to experience new features. On the other hand, Windows 11 26H2 started its official rollout, starting from an initial set of users (and we have been selected!) to experience the new features.

    The project of Windows 11 running on the Galaxy S9+ has seen a significant progress, with users finally being able to experience it themselves as the GitHub repository is now finally available.
